Still Planning to complete

I already looked Shudi. It is looking fantastic. I'd also suggest that with the amount of work going on, and the way the complex is starting to come together, that Corvera is not here for the short haul. There  is no way Calidona would put that much effort into it to look so good (albeit late) if there were any concerns as to its viability.

Anyway, as I said earlier, Phase 11 menta, due to complete late in the year. Here's hoping I can ring in the new year in Corvera.

By the way have ordered my air con so must be committed.

Although I do not share your sentiments from my own personal point - can I just say that in the midst of all the doom and gloom the positivity of this tread makes you smile and feel good.

I am a nay stayer but that does not mean we don't wish you all well. Corvera will be fantastic and I am envious that I am not able to take your long term view point.Cheers to you all - have one for me when you get there!

We all have different  objectives and as an investor sincerely wish you all well!

Hi, All Manta owners, I am apt F2; Block 08  if you know where that is?  Birds eye view of the island I'm top left block overlooking villas and facing west, I'm on the very end with the a duplex. If I knew how to put photos on this site I could show you some recent photos. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for their comments.  Lets keep this thread for any info we have on updates and completions.  It is a nervous time for everyone, whether you are completing or not - and for whatever reason.  We are, by now, all aware of the pros and cons and don't need to be told anymore.  But for those going ahead I think there is a need to be able to talk to others in a similar situation.

We went with Calidona for the convenience but I reckon there are better value options available.

The advantage of when you will be completing is that a few others will already be in and will be able to pass on their experiences to you.

The Corvera option can be tied into your mortgage which considering the banks are a lot less generous with the amounts they are prepared to lend it certainly is worth thinking about too.

We have a Tilo on phase 1 (block 80-something, I can't remember the exact ref #), so should be one of the first to complete. We're just finalising (fingers' crossed) a builders' mortgage with Banco Santander, which seems a fairly good deal with the Euribor coming down progressively. However, I have to admit we are luckier than most as not UK-based so not hit by currency exchange. We are out there at Christmas and impressed with the progress on the site. Its really starting to look good. Also, all the local discussion confirms that while the Spanish building sector is undeniably a disaster, Calidona seem to be one of the most solid. So while the site is laaaate and the Calidona communications manager should get fired (well,..they obviously don't have a communications manager), we 're still optimistic for anyone taking  a long-term view.  I look forward to a glass of wine on my terrace with any like-minded individuals that turn out to be neighbours. FYI, we also went with the Calidona a/c option, but more for convenience.

I honestly wish all of you who are going to complete all the best and I would like to think that in time Corvera will be the beautiful place we all bought in to.

At present I am not willing to complete, however I feel that those who are going to should at least band together and make sure that was promised is delivered.

Despite your faith in Calidona they have proven to take a very long time to deliver even the smallest of things, such as a small shop, which is even more important in a place like Corvera where the nearest local community is even further away than the one at Roda.

Imho someone needs to form a community group to make sure that those who do complete have at least some basic facilities and have one voice, if not, well just look at Roda.
