Hi Everyone,

I am thinking about bringing some light fittings from home for my apartment and was wondering if anyone has experience of this regarding compatibility/wiring, light bulb fittings etc.  If UK fittings are not suitable any suggestions or recommendations regarding local Spanish suppliers/electricians would be much appreciated.

Could someone let me know the standard type of electric bulb used in Spain, I imagine it is all screw type fitting but not sure!

Yes the standard ones are all screw in, same diameter as the bayonet ones in UK, there are the odd ones that have the small fittings but they are usually lamps.  As with the UK they are trying to gradually phase out ordinary bulbs and use energy saving ones, so you can find offers on in places 2 for 1.
