Hi

After completing in March we are looking to going back in May to finish things off in the appartment. We thought we would take a drive to Campasol and have a look around. Can anyone give good idiot proof directions on how to get there.

I also want to take this oportunity to say a big thanks to Debbie Payton for her directions from the airport. With me driving and the wife pointing we managed it in 50 minutes.

Thanks

Phil

Hi Phil,

Camposol is so easy to find even for my husband, who has to be the worlds worst at directions.  Spin him around and he is lost!

Go back to the main entrance and turn left onto the RM23 towards Mazarron, You will be on there for less than 5 mins.  You will see a sign for urbanization sector b camposol.  Take that turning, turn right at the end of the slip road and you can't miss it.

Hope you enjoy your stay.

Regards

Kelly

Thats a bit unfair George. We have been here 6 months and have been very grateful for the cheap bars, excellent restaurants, footie, entertainment and warm welcome.

It is not the prettiest place but with NOTHING  on Condado (you cant count the surgery as a service) it has been a godsend.

Don.t know if anyone else agrees with me but dont just drive on past!

Barry & Sue

I only asked because, like Barry and Sue says, it has some useful facilities on site which are close to Condado. The wife also spotted that they have bingo so that's her sorted...!

Have to agree with Barry,

Until the Foro, and hopefully Oasis, is open  and fully occupied, Camposol is the nearest place for -

Supermarket, banks, hairdresser, bar, brico, bars, snack, bucher, golf etc etc etc.  see http://www.visitcamposol.com/

Given that none of these will be available at CdA for the next few months, like the place or not, I'm gald that the facilities at camposol are just down the road.

Phil

Hi,

Out of interest, does the Brico store sell stuff like Kettles, toasters, etc. If so, what are the prices like.

Hi Phil

As stated the directions to Camposol from Condado are easy, however although the directions provided by Kelly are correct-ish the detailed directions are:

Go out of Condado back to the main road which is the RM-603, go left on to the RM-603 following for Mazarron, a couple of miles down the road keep left following for the RM-23 (?RM-3) for Mazarron, go under the bridge, the road is now 4 lanes wide and will quickly reduce back to 2 lanes, keep going along this road you see the exit for Urbanisation Camposol, take this exit and at the roundabout go right for Camposol "B" then first or second left to main area (shops, supermarket, banks, bars and so on) alternatively at the roundabout where you came off the RM-23 go left at this roundabout over the RM-23 then take first right off the next roundabout and then left when you come to an Italian restaurant on the corner and up this road you will find Camposol "A" (shops bars, restaurants, DIY shop and so on).

Going back to Condado be careful to follow the correct roads back:

From Camposol "A" side of the RM-23 (?RM-3) go back onto the RM-23 following for Totana & Murcia, travel back down the RM-23 until this road divides Left for RM-23 Totana and Right RM-603 Murcia, you keep right following the RM-603 for Murcia, soon after you join the RM-603 you will see Condado on your right then about 2 miles further on you will take the Condado de Alhama exit, at the roundabout turn right back to the main entrance.

Regards

Phil

Would have to agree with both George and Barry and Sue. Camposol is not the;prettiest of places - and certainly isn't somewhere I would choose to stay. But it has to be said that some of the bars and restaurants provide excellent meals etc; at very reasonable prices and the place seems friendly enough.

The banks, shops etc are certainly more than we have at Condado and it is only a short drive instead of having to drive right into Puerto Mazarron.  Although I haven't been yet, it seems from various postings that the Brico store at Camposol sells a really good range of things and there is also the large Consum supermarket.

A friend who rented our apartment in February spent the day at the spa at the Hotel Sensol in Camposol - she said the facilities were absolutely first class and the price was reasonable too (I think she said about 20 euros each for the full day).

Camposol probably looks better at night so make sure you visit when it's dark!

Camposol really is horses for courses and is good to dip in and out of as long as you know what to expect

We were very pleasantly surprised by the upstairs restaurant at Rumours Bar. From the outside, it doesnt look much and you would think it is just a drinking establishment. However, upstairs the decor is really nice and the food/prices were excellent

Be careful not to go on a Friday night though unless you are a big fan of karaoke - they currently have the 'S Factor' talent show on

BricoHouse is good for bits and pieces and the odd DIY items.

But be warned they speak little or no english at all so as long as you just want to pick something up and buy it its fine, trying to order anything is a nightmare unless you are fluent in Spanish.

Would also agree that the bars are ok. The indian on Campasol A is also good at lunchtime and reasonable value.

I also agree with Barry and Sue Camposol has been a god send and as for Alley Palais that has kept my kids very happy during the winter months.  We don't live there but try to get out as often as poss we love it but the kids are "bored" on Condado as there is nothing to do. Camp arsehole  oops sorry slip of the tongue... Camposol has given us some peace and a nice ish place to sit in the sun for a slurp or two
