Ham & I bough a great rattan set of furniture for the roof terrace from Z beds in January this year in the closing down sale

We were told it would be OK for the roof Terrace, though Ham wasnt that sure.

Having had help from Carol & her team we managed to get it on the roof but when we took the cushions off , to put into the apartment we were both concerned that there was material as a base & not  rattan

We covered the suite  against the eliments & it was not taken off until we went  over in February.

Because the weather was much improved we left the covering off.

Chris & Alison ( Rockstarphotograph) offered to go & check things when they were over & unfortunatly confirmed what Ham had thought which was that the suit was intended for inside use as the material was damp.

So has any one got any solutions as to how we can waterproof the rattan parts & also the canvas type material.

Ideally the products can be bout over in spain, so knowledge about where we can buy would also be a great help.

Hi Jan, you do need a set that is 100% synthetic rattan which is not affected by water at all however do not despair there is a solution, go onto ebay and type in this description or item number, this is easily applied and will sort the damp problem, hope it helps,

Ditto. An excellent post Dave and I am sure it will be appreciated by many.  Am off to order some even though I have the polypeel rattan there are a couple of other items which could with some weatherproofing.  Many thanks for the great tip.

Have been on the Ebay site & as I`m not sure just how far a 400ml  aerosol would go , I ordered 3.

Well I am a woman & I do like to spend

I have just recieved an email from Ebay saying  I have WON another spray , so we will have 4.

I will take them over in June .

So if there is anyone out there who would like one ( thats if there is surplus )

I can always leave the remainder with Carol our Keyholder
