Whilst in Condado last week we spent a brilliant few hours quad biking in the Sierra Espuna. Its based in a very little village called Gebas, from the centre of Alhama de Murcia head northwards on the Mula road, its about 9Km passed Alhama (Allow 45 min from Condado due to the twisting mountain road and cyclists).
The quad biking is run from the Hotel Mariposa, we arrived just before 12pm, filled out the required forms and then were given a lesson into how the quads worked. Dawn, said the hotel reminded her of the recent Abba film where the hotel rooms were based around a courtyard setting. Needless to say she chickened out riding on the quads and decided to stay and chat to others while myself & our sons went on the bikes.
Due to the age of our sons the ride was off road as they didn't have driving licenses. We set off down the hill from the hotel and out into the countryside over the terrain. I think we picked the perfect sunny day to do it, the views were magnificent. There is a couple of stops en route so you can have a break and chance to get a few photos.
After arriving back at the hotel you can then enjoy there menu del dia which is included in the price set in the hotels courtyard.
Cost of an hours quad including dinner for one is 35€. (2 people on the same quad including dinner is 55€)
We thought it was a great afternoon out.
