I am not referring to Sesame Street (or Pat Butcher for that matter) but to the amazing stork I saw at the small lake just beside Puerto las Canadas Norte security gate (or whatever the one closest to Jardin 1 is). It was huge and - determined to get a photo to post on EOS I gingerly pulled the car to a halt, told everyone to be deathly quiet, reached carefully into the glove box to get the camera, realised it was in the boot so, slowly, silently I crept out of the drivers door, sneaked mouse-like to the rear of the car, recovered said camera very, very slowly and in absolute silence, then slammed the bloody boot closed!! Off went my subject into the big blue Murcia sky. How dopey did I feel? Anyway, if you keep your eye going around the lakes I'm sure a few of you will spot it - or its mates at sometime or other. It really was great to see.
