Hi all, just joined.
I booked my plot in June 2006 following a visit by my Uncle to view the site location for me as he lives near Malaga, I was unable to fly out at that time. I believe he may have met jetman on the way back to malaga if jetman fly's the easy way. Now that planning permission has been granted I am flying to Malaga on 18th Jan to meet my lawyer in Mabella and visit Izalloz for the first time on 19th Jan to view the location myself. If while their I can help anyone with up to date information, please leave a message on this message board prior to 17th Jan and I will do my best to help with info required. I will pass on any general information that I get.

Hi
As info has been hard to come by anything firm would be appreciated.
Obviously evidence of construction would be first.
i have also been after a copy of the approved plan of the site.
Estimated completion
It would be nice if the developer would post progress photos every month.
Thanks

sorry globetrotter, although we've asked several times as yet we have not recieve any copy of the plans. The last info we had about the aparthotel was that it maybe included in phase 2.

That's interesting - does anyone know if plans can be adjusted as the phases progress? Perhaps there is some scope in the contract which I haven't seen as yet which permits changes to some degree. Would hate to be looking out at a tall apartment block instead of the mountain views!

we have not seen our contract yet. Would be interested to know if it refers to the development as a whole or just our particular plot. If anyone has seen the contract, does it specify what else goes on eg roads, landscaping, boundaries, pool size etc etc which presumably they would not then be able to change without a change in the contract.

I have a strange feeling that the building licence applies to Phase 1 only but I haven't had chance to check with our solicitor. I thought I read on a website that the development would consist of c.265 apartments/houses but the licence only applies to a much smaller number. Hope I'm wrong!

Hi
I haven't seen the contract itself as it's in Spanish, but according to the report I received from my solicitor, the contract indeed refers to Phase 1 only. Building License for phase 2 has yet to be granted.
My agent has it direct from developer that phase 2 is as per the original plans, ie further townhouses and apartments, no apart hotel.

Our promoter confirmed that the current licence applies to Phase 1 and said that a licence for Phase 2 had been applied for and that Phase 2 will be launched in a few months.
What are the implications if licence is not granted for further phases? Is this a good thing - i.e. fewer properties on the site, or bad - i.e. no amenities, etc.

All change again.
Agent met with developer at the site yesterday. Phase 2 will appear as in the original plans in terms of location, size, appearance etc but the usage will be an apart hotel. Apparently, the local authorities have expressed interest in that as they feel it will bring more opportunites to the village, so building license should be easier to obtain for that. Developer hopes that complete development will be finished by Sep08 latest. Obviously if anyone hears different please let me know.
In any event I have instructed my lawyer to proceed, I can't see anything untoward with the contract and all the pluses are still relevant in my opinion.
