We're due to go out to complete and all that comes with it for our apt on La Isla on Aug 19th but not too sure what's req'd. Has anyone snagged their property yet and what do we need to look out for?

We are also due out on the 26/08 to complete on La Isla. I am in the same boat as you to be honest. I guess we could look out for the obvious things but I have engaged with a snagging guy who I hope will take the lead.
Which block are you on?

don't worry if you miss something during the snagging, you will find some thingds later on when you are cleaning the appartment
Polaris does not make a problem to fix some things that came out after the snagging
we had the snagging in Penthouse November and they have replaced some things during our last visit in June

Morning all,
We too are due to visit 26/08 to inspect and then complete shortly after. It would be good to meet up and maybe share experiences and things to watch out for.
Not sure where to stay as yet as we have 2 boys 6 & 8 and I need to ensure good internet access for work so may head for a hotel to be safe. Really looking forward to seeing La Isala again as it has been 12 months since we were last out.
Regards
Daren & Alison

two things
I found the Hotel Le Cumbre in Port Mazarron to be excellent to stay in when I was waiting for my apartment to be finished.
Make sure the drainage lines are clear on your air con pre installation.
A lot of owners on CDA especially the Jardins have had blocked drains, drains not connected correctly.
All they need to do is purgr the pipes.
It is not something snagging companies usually do but I recommend you do it as part of snagging as PW can get awkward believe me

Hi all,
We are due out on Condado on the 31st to do the snagging on our apartment and get our NIE numbers.
We are staying in Jardin 12 and have two boys aged 4 and 8.
It would to good to meet up with any fellow islanders.
Regards The Handfords.

A lot of people who completed on Jardins last year use Emma Beechy from Snaggit Murcia and they all seemed pretty happy with the service they received. I used another co but did get the impression that Snaggit Murcia were a bit more in touch with things and had a better follow-through for their clients???

Thanks for all your replies! We'll certainly look out for the air-con drainage lines. We're on top floor of block 7 so it'll be fun when we start to lug furniture up and the lift isn't big enough eh! A friend told me to take a light bulb along to test every light socket when snagging. Something worth thinking about...

We have completed on La Isla also top floor block 5, we took along Steve the electrician but could find very little wrong although didnt know about the air con ducting problems!
We did find a couple of things wrong after the snagging meeting but took photo's and emailed PW when we got back they just said they would add them to the list.
We were told the lifts would not be operational until at least 40 residents in the block had completed! so all the furniture etc will have to be lugged up 4 flights of stairs - I feel exhausted just thinking about it!
I would also say to anyone completing soon - stay on the complex as we rented on Jardines 13 and felt that we learnt alot about what was needed for our apartment, things that we hadnt necessarily thought of. It was also nice to get a feel of the place before completing.
Good luck to everyone completing on La Isla.

No point taking a light bulb Clarkey, there's no fixture to put it into. All you get is the loose wires coming through the ceiling and contractors electricity which might not be on while you're there. Would agree about staying onsite to get a better feel for the resort but we stayed in a Hotel at Torre Pachco (next to LA Torre) when we completed last year as it was central for everything we had to do in a few days. PW Head office, NIE numbers from office in Murcia (I think), Notary office in Los Alcozares, etc
If you do stay on site the surgery internet is €12 for 500 mins or €4 for 50 mins. Internet cafe in Camposol is €1 per 30 mins, and 15c to print off a page or the Alley Palais does an hour for €1.
We got our keys last August and PW were still prepared to fix issues when we were out a couple of weeks ago, think you get a year to sort things out.

Hi Mandyj
Congratulations on completing!!! Its a great feeling as I remember well!!! Good luck!
I will say it's a bit out of order though PW stating the lifts will not be in use until 40 residents have completed!! No joke carrying bags furniture etc at one flight of stairs in the Jardines so I feel for you with 4 flights of stairs!!!
Can't a group of you complain and get them to get them working earlier, say they have to for Health & Safety? Or European Human Rights act Volumn 32 section 61b a ?? LOL! You know what I mean. Sometimes the more pressure that is put on PW they SOMETIMES change directions!!!
Once again well done!
