WATER AND ELECTRIC URGENT PLEASE READ

I have today spoken with Suzanne who has informed me that Monday 21 Sept is the deadline for connection to our apartments.  If you are not available to have your apartment connected you will be cut off.

Is anyone leaving for Spain this weekend who would help with the connections?

Otherwise Suzanne and I are looking at flying out this weekend and would be happy to help anyone.  Suzanne is north of the England and I am south, for easy key collection.   

Hi All this is the email address of JUan Santos the admin guy.  adjsantossl@telefonica.net.I dont think you need to panic ,email your solicitors and get them on the case to register you at the electric company.

Upon completion our solicitor retained funds for the power connection as they deal with the switch for you...we have had a reply basically stating it's all under control, they have a dedicated resource , and that there is no need to panic...so fingers crossed !! We'll see...

Yes, I spoke with my solicitor yesterday who basically said the same, he spoke with Juan Santos (administrator) and my sols told me not to worry. The solicitor makes the contract on our behalf with Endesa and then we have to arrange an appointment with Endesa their technician to have access to the electric board in the hallway of the apartment. I guess it is making the technician appointment before a deadline that may be a problem. But the 21st deadline is for making the contract initially, not the technician appointment. Speaking with Ken yesterday he was of the same opinion.

Let's hope that we all have electric on the next visit out there, or Ken will be running a local baths and soup kitchen scheme!

I am still getting mixed messages here..... Right up to this morning i am being told by my lawyer that the development is lying or doesnt know what is happening but the deadline for contracts is monday and you will be cut off if they cannot gain access to property within 5 working days of this date.  She says that she can set up the contract no problem and has but that unless somebody is out there to let them in you will be cut off.   I just dont know what to do.  Whether to fly out andrisk  having a wasted journey or take the chance that next tiime we come out we have no electricity and have to wait a week for them to come and connect us.

i have spoken to the technical office at arenal this morning and they said its ok, you wont be cut off, but preceded to ask me if i had anything in the fridge if i did get cut off.... i dont think they know what is happening to be honest. 

The only hope i have is with endesa but each time i get through to them they tell me i can do it over the phone but then cut me off half way through doing it.  This has happened about 5 times but i think it is something to do with the exchange when they put me on hold from the uk.

ok, i have contacted endesa successfully now and they confirmed that you can register and do your contract on the telephone.  However i got nowhere because they said the reference number 588062 does not exist and therefore they cannot find any record so cannot set up a contract.  Does anybody know actually what our bloody address is for sure?  

That´s the right number.Ken set his up using that,we are waiting to hear back from our solicitor that she´s done ours.We are out here til 21stOct so if we can help in any way ,we will.As far as I know Paul and Briget have sorted theirs via their solicitor.

Will keep you posted as soon as we hear anything else.

I have just received an email from Toni in Block 6.  She has made the contract with Endesa and awaits a call from the Technican to install. 

My solicitor has just emailed and confirmed that our contract for electric is complete.  I now have 5 working days to allow a technican access to the apartment.   

No contact from Endesa  as yet ,electric still on all blocks.Heard that it is next Monday now but that was one of the workers on site,so will have to wait and see .

Still no contact from Endesa-it was obviously a Spanish 5 days!!Been pouring with rain all day  -managed to paddle down here to the Internet cafe! Will keep you all posted.

Spoke to my sol this morning. Still no phone call to say when they are connecting. Anyone else heard? I am going out there 9th. Oct.  Hope there's some electric!

Wrote to Solicitor and Francisco on site but no reply as yet. I am going out ont he 11th October

My solicitor has advised today that Endesa will be there on the 1st October to make the connection to my apartment.

Our solicitor has advised us today that the connection to the electricity supply will be made on the 6th October to our apartment.
