Time to say goodbye.

Hi All

It seems a long time ago that we started planning our adventure to move to Spain and buy on CDP. A lot has changed since that time, including our decision not to continue with the purchase.

We have finally found a place to live and are packing to leave San Juan de los Terreros at the end of the month for the mountains of Velez Rubio. We shall, of course, return on a regular basis to play golf!

So, I wish everyone on CDP, whether already completed or still waiting, the very best of luck in your new homes.

Me & the pups are looking forward to a new adventure in the mountains.

All the best  Jacqui in your new adventure to Velez Rubio where ever that may be, I am sure you will do well there. We shall keep an eye out for you if we ever get to San Juan ourselves, thanks for all the info & photos over the years you have been a star & by the way keep on writing & sending in photo's even some of your new home. Velez Rubio is about an hour from Terreros, the other side of Huercal Overa. There are lots of photos of the new house on my blog already and I shall continue to post more as we do more to the house. Brinkley doesn't update his blog very often but I still love writing mine and shall continue to do so - it saves me having to write letters to everyone back home.

We have loads of land with Almond trees (which will need harvesting next year), the pups can bark to their hearts content and not annoy the neighbours - 'cos we don't have any and the views are stunning.

We may even start growing our own veg. A touch of the Good Life.

Welcome to Velez Rubio we have had a house here for 9 years and think there is no other place like it in Spain and we have seen a lot of Spain in that time, it is a beautiful area and the best kept secret for years, although people are now beginning to find us.....Good luck with your move and all the best, you have made a good choice.
