Can you let me know if every-ones putting 50% deposit down on the property's at La Tercia Real. My friend only put 15% down on a Property in Sotogrande on the Costa Del Sol. Eds

We have been asked for and paid 30% deposit, and our bank guarantee was €450 which i am told is valid until completion. As yet i do not have this in writing but i expect something shortly

50% is quite normal in Spain, however, you may well be able to negotiate a lower deposit; I paid 30% (along with many others here, I guess).

I am quite annoyed that we were made to pay 50% then.

Our Agent advised us at the time of our purchase that they actually started at 50% but the initial response to the project was relatively poor, hence they reduced the deposits to 30%.

When we bought in March 2006, there were lots of plots to chose from.
