Never wait for invitations in spain.. you just need to know what to pay and when.. not receiving bills is not considered an excuse and you still get penalties.
However not sure where you pay, it is in cartegena. I have my solicitor taking care of this. Yes it cost be a bit more but saves a lot of hassle, as they will remind me, by sending the bill.
For a 1st floor jardin it is €29.50 per owner, so if you and your wife are both on the papers, you pay it twice (yeah I know....)
You can do it yourselves and that, like anything else not rocket science. I believe you can download the forms, post them and pay by bank transfer, hwr I am the lazy type. it cost me £75 for both of us and he sort it out for 2 properties. OK easy money for him as it will probably take him minutes to do as data doesn't change.. Might look into it next year and then make a decision what is too expensive.

I take it this form is totally different than the Non-Residents Form we pay for each year?
We signed for our apartment over a year ago. Does anyone have any idea when you pay it? Is it a yearly charge?
Unfortunately our Solicitors went into administration so they can't help us. Thanks.

Mod 210 is the non residents income tax form.
It is a yearly charge and you pay 1 year in arrears so by the end of dec 09 you must pay your tax due of 2008.
If you only had your apartment for a couple of months I wouldn't worry to much, but make sure you pay by end of next december 2010 for the tax year ending Dec 09
It assumes that you have some form of income of your spanish property, even if you don't!!!
You have 2 choices, this form assumes a small % of the value of the house (as per the rigister, not commercial value), alternatively declare your actual income if you do rent out (not sure what form that is)
As I said I am not that type of person that scrutinize everything (although I should ..I know) but just let the financial advisor sort it out. Have been with them for 6 years so better the devil you know...
if you want their details I can e-mail them to you..

Hi all,
Has anybody got the address of the tax office. We were quoted 70 euro each by solictor to pay 30 euro each . It would be allright if it was for only one year, but it seems an awful waste of money to keep on doing it every year. We are just back and the Alhama Council are opening an office in the shopping centre, so they might be able to help.

Would be interesting to know what you find out.. as you say if you can save €70 .. nice meal for 2

That good news Fred. Can I ask how much you paid?
We have a 2 bed Jardin and our solicitor is trying to charge us 345 euro for 2009 non residence taxes, plus her fees!!!
Can anyone advise - seems a lot to me!
Thanks

YOUR 2 bed JardinTAX SHOULD only BE APPROX 35 Euros for each person on the house deeds. and you can down load the 210 forms online and call at the tax office for your Etiquetas (Stickers) for your 210 form! ronaldo

I think our bank applies for that form for us through our mortgage. There's another tax you have to pay to do with how much income you've received through rentals - is this a different tax? Sorry it's all very confusing.

I have now sorted out all the standard bills with elect, water and Comm fees, but still a bit confused what are the tax and council payments I still need to pay. Moved in August 2009.
Is there a council tax (or similar in spain) to pay out on top of your income tax payments, I have paid the following, but unsure if this is different or which one this covers?
NON RESIDENCE AUTHORISAT.CHARGE |
-6,70 |
COMISSIONS/FEES PETICIÓN CERTIF. NO RESIDENCIA |
-29,00 |
Sorry if this has already been answered, but finding it extremely confusing.

Hi All,
I just paid the non residance tax. I had already paid every other bill. For a downstairs apartment, my wife and myself paid 46.20 euro each. No one else got any money for doing it for us. We just cut out the middle man. Now that we now what to do, next year should be a lot easier. We have the address is LORCA if anybody is interested.
Fred
