Happy new year Guys,

we are just interested in the BI-Monthly costs on average for your utility bills i.e Lecky /Water/council Rates etc now that most LFO's have been issued and you may not be on builders supply, any bills yet to give us an idea?

Stew & Pollie

I dont live on sae cayetano, my brother does though, I have a 2 bed apartment in Cabo Roig, The bills to date are for it as a holiday home, Elec Ibodora, you pay monthly by the looks of my bills 2 estimated then 1 read, when I'm there in may for around 3 weeks it gets up to, 50e, other than that it is around 12e a month, that must be for the meter rental, water is 3 monthly round near us, it also has a suma charge for the Bin collection, that is around 30e when we are not there but has been 60e with us being there within the 3 months of the bill. local tax this year was 111e, then the IBI was 60e each, hope this helps, we have had our place now for over a year so not expecting any other bills, except the comunity charge, but that changes with the aminities you have, ours is 300e per year, we have a small road to service and light a swiming pool and there are around 50 apartments thathave to split the costs.

Joan,  I have also received very high bills from Iberdrola which I am now taking up with them.  My bill on 1st December was for 104 Euros despite the house being empty, and electricity switched off, since the end of October.

They have sent me another email this morning asking for further details (as if the account number isn't enough) including my passport number etc.  Are they just playing for time I wonder?  Will let you know what their reply is.

Regards

Pinot

At long last I have received an email from Iberdrola explaining that my invoice for 123.78 Euros for December (despite the house being empty) was estimated.  They suggest if I don't want to receive estimated bills I should read the meter myself.  They have promised to put things right with the next bill which will be great.  Will keep you informed!

Will obviously now try and get someone to read the meter on our behalf and let us have the reading.
