Condado Shuttle Bus

Hi Everyone,

Just returned from a four night golf trip to celebrate my 40th birthday and thought I'd let you know what I and 10 of my mates thought of the Trail.

Absolutey Awesome!!!!!!

We arranged the trip through "your golf travel" and ended up staying at La Torre even though two of us travelling have bought our own apartments on Condado. The agents have not got Condado on their books yet but after this weekend I'm sure they'll offer it as an option in their next  season brochures.

I wanted to see if the whole Polaris World Golf Trail experience would actually work. We were not disappointed. Booking this way meant we got to stay in the apartments and have the golf all in one very very reasonable price. We played La Torre on arrival and then on Saturday and Sunday we used the shuttle to El Valle and Hacienda Riquelme which were both absolutely first class. The real test was on Monday when the bus turned up to whisk us all off to Condado and like clock work it turned up up just after 9.15am What a day we had. The course is just amazing and yes there are areas that need a little tidying up a bit but purely from a golfing point of view the course is very special. That was not just my opinion but the opinion of all that travelled. We finished had some lovely Tapas in the Clover and couple of Estrella's before the bus turned up at 6.15pm to take us back to La Torre. Fantastic!!

I know we're not all happy with the ways things have progressed due the current circumstances but you'll have to admit that as a concept PW have delivered! We came we stayed and played and were transported F.O.C. from resort to resort with no hassle. What a great break we all had. Two of the lads are now thinking about buying properties on PW resorts.

Happy 40th & all that.  Glad to hear you had a good time.

What a refreshing chnge to hear such positiveness!!   You are so happy I guess you must have taken the "Biccy's" on the course (Dosh to you Cockney boys)!!  Glad to hear that Condado played well - despite its scriffiness.  I do hope that quickly improves - as it does not create such a good first impression I think.

Has our course started to "green-up" yet....was still in  it's winter colour last time I saw some pics

We are next out at Easter & will definatley play the course a couple of times

Great post Jay, very positive - glad you and your party had fantastic time. Am out in Nov with boys for long weekend and just might do same, although like you also have place in Penthouse Los Naranjos.

That's great for those at that end...what about us? I'm sure if we asked to be taken to La Torre from Condado the answer would be ....not possible!

However I will ask.

Glad to hear your trip exceeded ? expectations. I have played 3 of the five Polaris courses now and I think they are a very attractive proposition as a package. I have actually been working on some dates for the lads later in the year and there are some fabulous value deals to be had with golfbreaks.com. 3 rounds on any of the courses with 4 nights stay at La Torre appartments round about £160. I think if anyone ever wants to do a golfing trip to Spain they will never get better value than this. It is only a little more expensive to reside in the 5 star Intercontinental.

Food for thought on the green fees we are paying though.

So rally up your mates folks and pass on the word (just might need the sideways blinkers for Condado !! but I am hoping things will improve on that score by the Summer).

Barry & Sue I think it will be just a matter of time, for the trail to work effectively (commercially) with most people booking through the agents it kind of makes sense the way they have initially set it up but would imagine it will not take long for the demand to increase enough from our end to make it viable sooner rather than later.

Nick the course is "spring like" now. If you compared it to Hacienda Riquelme (which in my opinion is even more brownish in colour) then ours looks better. It's greening up nicely the deep rough is looking very healthy unless like me you were in too much and the greens look and feel amazing. All the lads said the Condado greens were by far the best which is nice to hear. As for taking the "biccy's" it just wasn't my turn 29 points was as good as I could do and was beaten by most. One of the boys shot well and rolled in with 39 off 18 he got a proper cockney slap!!

With the all the potential positive news about paramount and after such a great weekend at such fantasic value for money as daniels and Billbo rightly point out you just gotta know it will work. Keep the faith we'll be laughing about this for years to come.

Whenever you fellas get out there have a brilliant time, you're bound to!!!!

Have enjoyed reading this thread and its really good to hear of a successful  tour around the Polaris golf courses. We have played several of them and find the facilities etc to be generally excellent and its taken time for the courses to bed in so I believe Condado's will follow, especially once this uncertain time is over. Hopefully PW will be able to landscape and sort unruly areas once they can focus back on resort development. The use of the shuttle bus sounds very successful too and efficient.- hopefully the more society golfers and individual golfers pester Polaris about starting a shuttle bus service from Condado the more likely it will happen.

It would be good if PW would put on a different shuttle bus a couple of evenings/once a week so that people could enjoy the restaurants and bars at La Torre too.

What with reports of a slight increase in property sales on the resort, PW apparently near to resolving their cash crisis, Paramount rumours and confirmation that the Polaris concept is genuinely good, things are certainly feeling upbeat.
