We have had exactly the same problem with ours ever since we brought the property in October 2008 and it's still no different. As with you Patricia isn't interested. We did get the suppliers to come out and look at it but had to pay 40 euros as it was out of guarantee and the next time we were over it didn't work again. It's the first thing we think about every time we go 'Will the boiler work or won't it?.
We've worked out ourselves that it's a problem with the gas supply getting to the boiler, not the actual boiler itself. We have changed the connection to the gas bottle and this one does seem better.
We'll be over from 5th to 14th April and Neil will look at it with Richard if you want to see if yours is a similar problem. He does eventually get ours going each time now.
Send private message if you think we can help.

We had the same thing. Stuart gave us a number for a local gas engineer who arrived on time. We met him at Pepas and he followed us round. A part had to be replaced and it certainly worked. He was there half an hour and charged us around 65 euros. The telephone numbers are 0034950133045, 0034654908101. They can speak a little English. My message of agua caliente kaput got across anyway.
Good luck!

Having re-read that it looks like I thought it was a lot of money but 65 euros for a call-out and a substantial part replaced I didn't think was too bad.

Hi Folks,
This one could save you money ! We recently visited CDP - no hot water.
The problem was simply an airlock that had formed in the pipeline - and the gas bottle was running low so it couldn't force it through. Solution was to change to a full one, turn on the hot tap and wait ! Eventually it did work. Lovely job !
Incidentally, where do new bottles come from please ? What do they cost ?
Hope this saves someone some grief,
regards,
Marilyn & Rik

Hi
The nearest place to purchase these type of gas bottles is Aguilas at the Petrol station near Lidle.
The price is set and around 11 euro's a bottle at present.
We have calculated about 8 weeks useage per bottle during the winter months.
