SATELLITE TV

Have just arrived in DV to find that when we switch the TV on we get a message saying that no satellite signal is being received.

We were told that a company by the name of Roman (?) manage the satellite signals on DV.  Does anyone have a phone number for them - or any contact details?

We had the same problem when we were over recently and the answer is to turn the Sky box off at the wall and wait 2 mins and then turn it back on again.  It fixed our problem so hopefully will do the same for you.  If not, then you probably need to speak to AEA.  Good luck.

I don't know if you have ever been able to receive a signal okay in the past but if not then it could be a wiring problem in the wall.  This is a known problem that can be easily fixed.  I think there is a previous post on this somewhere in this forum with the details.

Yes.  The wires are the wrong way round or something like that! 

I posted previously about the fact that you can't record and watch a different channel at the same time.  The Sky guy said that it's because the sattelite at DV only runs one line instead of the normal two.  BUT it is possible if the community allows it.  Does anyone else want to be able to watch and record at the same time???  I know I do.  Please, if anyone knows if this is possible can they get in touch?
