AEA errors in community fees

Hi,

Has anyone else had this problem?  We received statement at end 2009, all our community fees up to date and paid.  Suddenly get an email stating arrears of considerable amount for last year!  Check every month with bank and know they have been paid.  Are these errors common?

Not sure what to do now.  Have emailed aea and suppose will have to liaise with bank.

This appears to be a not uncommon problem with AEA.

For second quarter running I have had amount taken twice. Not really good enough. Now got to try to get refund.

Do not want to cancel Direct Debit as best way to pay, but feel like it if this is going to happen.

If the direct debit is taken from your Spanish bank account, it is very easy to reverse.  You can either do it online or speak to/email the bank and tell them to reverse the debit.  This is practically automatic and the money credited back to your account.  I have done it on a couple of occasions.
