Hi all
The dual meters work the same as the 'economy 7' in the UK.....the electricity is cheaper between 11 pm- 11am at the moment...think this may change in the hotter summer months...and there is also a choice of Kw. It starts at 3.5 upto 6.9 approx...so we have a 4.6 option which costs 131 euros to install, and approx 9 euro per month standing charge. At the moment it seems ok...but we probably could't have all the electrical appliances on at the same time !!!! but would you any way ??
The dual meter digitial display reads as T1 ( higher rate ...11cents per Kw) and T2( 6 cents per Kw) so you can easily work out how much it is costing you per week / month
If it trips then the extra electricity is charged at a higher rate...i think.....if it's not enough...then the Kw can be changed quite easily.
Have you paid your 300 euro to Taray for installation ???.....yes...well tell them what you want and make them earn their money...otherwise you will automatically be put on a standard meter ( costs 160 euro to instal, that's NOT included in the 300 euro) and the higher tariff.
Hope that helps...but contact either Taray or Iberdrola..or will you be on builders supply if you are on phase 2 ????...we have had free electricity curtersy of Taray for 18 months....all good things come to an end though :(
But ...hey.....it's so hot today...yippee
