We have been here in SC for two weeks and there has been absolutely  no movement at all at our proposed pool site. (Phase One). It still looks as it did back in November '09 (see photo) with the exception of NO WORKMEN. At this rate we do not think it will be finished by the summer, not unless TARAY get their finger out. Let's hope work will commence soon and it will be finished by the end of 2010!!!!!!!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Gill.

Looks like Taray, have lapsed again because we have  kept of their case, maybe we need to get together and get some legal letter to them, we were all promised by December then Spring, now when, We are trying to rent out our apartment how can we advertise a building site, as facilities

Disgruntled yet again

I quite agree with you Joan.  Taray certainly have a reputation for letting us all down!  I really felt that they would now honour their promises with regard to the swimming pool and facilities - obviously I must be naive!!

Can anyone living in San Cayetano please let us know if any work is being done on the site.  If not we really must start chasing Taray yet again!!   The concept we were sold was terrific - if only they had kept their part of the bargain.

Does the building look finished from the outside??

I think Taray used a seperate firm to build that and maybe they are going to dig out the pool area themselves hopefully.

Maybe we ought to start thinking along the lines of sitting outside their sales offices on all their sites so that they can't sell anymore houses until our pool is finished.

Any other ideas??

Remember Taray will be looking at this site as well.

No work at all this week except the removal of the scaffolding unsure what to read into that ? As for the building it is only the frame ie. the roof and steel posts that has been erected, i look onto this eyesore everday.

There as been movement on the pool site today and yesterday  they are removing the acroprops from under the concrete roofing that was poured before Christmas maybe because of the heavy rain we have had it as taken longer to dry out completely

Thanks Shirley, Mo & Bryan

That sounds a bit more encouraging !

We'll have to have a really big celebration if it is finished in June !!! We've certainly waited a long time for it.

Representatives from four of the Manzanas' on San Cayetano, along with the administrator, met up with the Director General of Taray this morning.  The outcome of the meeting was that June will now be the month for completion of the leisure area.

In addition, a monthly meeting with Taray has now been set up so that we can maintain communication and get progress reports, not only for the pool area, but other areas regarding the whole infrastructure of San Cayetano.

I know we've had promises before, but at least we now appear to have something more tangible to work with. As each meeting comes around, we will let you know, either via your own president/vice president of each community - and/or through the EOS link.

Watch this space!!!!

Thanks for the update re the pool. Can anyone give us some indication of how we will be able to access it. My understanding was that it was a communal pool for residents of phase one. Now we've been told it will be open to anyone and we are going to be charged an admission fee. What is the position?

Our understanding is that we will all have to pay to use the facilities at a reduced rate. A suggestion we have heard is that residents will possibly be issued with membership cards of some description.

Thanks for the information all updates of any  progress to the facilities are very welcome.

I was told by my solicitor before I signed up with Taray that the pool is for the community of San Cayetano. We as residents will get membership cards at a reduced rate.

I also heard (and I don't know if it's true) that a town in Spain is legally only allowed to have one community pool so if that's true then the communal pool near the school will go when ours is up and running and will probably get built on by Taray??

Personally I'm not worried who uses it as long as it get's bloody built in time for the summer this year!!!!!!!!

The pool next to the school is only a few years old funded as i understand by Taray. Its 25m with all new facilities, it self chlorinates with all the latest technology. I shouldnt think for one second they will get rid of this brand new extremely expensive facility that serves the community in the summer at a good price.

Torre pacheco has two community pools as does San javier so I dont think we need to worry about the better pool disappearing.

Who told you the pool will go and be built on by Taray?

Just got back from a week in SC. Depressing "progress" on pool. Even more depressing was that we visited Taray office "in peace" to get an update - they clearly did not welcome our presence, referring us to Frank Taray instead. Subsequntly met with Frank, who incredibly, almost unbeleivably, claimed to know nothing about the pool!! He promised to arrange a meeting for us with the top man - guess what...... no meeting, no calls, no info.

So far I have wanted to believe Taray that the pool would be built, but now I am really losing hope. I really hope I am wrong.

Taray's total lack of customer serviceis staggering and clealry getting worse.
