The paddle tennis courts are coming along nicely, one is up completely with bright blue floor covering and they have started to erect the other one this morning. They have also taken away they cement holders and the porter cabins from the pool side of the area. There are still two containers at the back of the building. Hopefully now they have been moved they can finish the landscapeing around the pools themselves.

Mo - many thanks for the new photographs of the pool etc. and for keeping us informed of how things are progressing. I must admit I was really impressed with the pool area when I was over a few weeks ago. Can hardly wait to see the finished product!

Tired of waiting! The new pool may look very swish from a distance, but on a sizzling hot day like today I would prefer to see it ready and available as promised! It is the 24th May today, does Taray have a different calendar to us? Another deadline has passed yet again. When is Taray actually going to deliver as promised?
Also do we have any idea yet of the cost of using the pool? It is to be hoped that Phase One residents, who have waited so patiently and been fobbed off with so many excuses are compensated by twelve months free use of the pool.
Tell me, Cuando, Cuando, Cuando.....

They are now bringing the top soil over from where they had stored it beside the sales office and are now begining to bring the land up to the level of the pool and they have almost done that after only one day.
I am no expert but I would have thought that most of the hold up is down to having to bring in other contactors to do the necessary work as it is not Taray who are actually building the pool and leisure site.

I AM ENRAGED!
Have just heard from our President that the pool opening has had yet another delay!
This time the excuse is something to do with the local elections!
It now appears to be the end of June.
Fed up of Taray treating us all as mushrooms.
Kept in the dark and fed on ....(caca)

The landscaping is now being done with palm trees springing up all over. As for the elections this is correct we have just had local and regional elections over here and it would appear that the town hall closes down for a period after so that any changes in the ruling party can be carried out. It would seem that the PP Party as won as far as I know. From dealings with this party in Orihuela they are in favour of more intergration with Expats and the local Spanish so hopfully more will be done.

Mo and Bryan - thank you so much for taking more photographs for those of us who cannot be in San Cayetano at the present time. It's very much appreciated and great to know that, hopefully, things should be all finished soon.

David-In answer to your question we have today been notified by the president of Manzana 3 that they have received an email from Antonio of Taray which states that they now anticipate a delay on getting the licence from the Council! In the meantime we are all going to be issued with passes to use the pool on Manzana 9 again!
With regard to the Council take-over to start doing their job and clean the streets in Hacienda San Cayetano - this has also been delayed due to elections and the takeover of all work. If I was living in SC I would be "tearing my hair out". How long are we all expected to put up with this?? Perhaps we should all have refused to pay council tax until they were doing the work they should be doing - we have been paying this for the past three years for nothing!! Perhaps we are all entitled to a large rebate?
To live out there in the very hot weather must make life very frustrating for everyone who has waited so long for the facilities we were promised before we even purchased our properties. Especially as they can see two beautiful pools ready for use but waiting for the council to do the landscaping. As I informed Taray in the beginning when they failed to give us our pools this really amounted to a breach of contract! I am still of the same opinion but do they give a damn - most certainly not!
Sorry to give you such bad news yet again!
