Where's Our Pool ???

Hi Haworth,

Are you saying that, i and the rest of us that cannot afford the fees are undesirables . All we want as taray owners is a reasonable price for using the pool and its other facilities.

Team me up with Tom Veron, DavidG, Pumpkin and TheWrights,who were only being helpful and informative.Can't understand why they were told off when someone only the other day was saying we were all getting free membership and nothing was said!This pool costs lark is a shambles, for those prices would expect a Spa and yes Haworth a GYM! If you are going to insult people by calling them undesirables at least learn how to spell the word!

 Sicknote if you are getting your information off here I pity you. Surely your President has a website to keep you informed?

 i think people are forgeting just how much we paid for our homes from taray  and the only reason we bought was because of the pool and we were never once told the prices would be this high  talk aboult been mislead by taray

I was chatting to some friends tonight who have their own pool at home, they've heard all about the Aquadel Centre and were asking me about it.......I was telling them that for us its good value but for others its not so good and that there's a lot of sorting out to be done. I couldn't believe what they then told me. They said that they pay €15 per week to get their pool cleaned which is €60 a month and that's before the cost of the water to top it up, the electricity for the pumps etc etc........and they can only use it in summer. When you put it like that it really does make our pool seem like excellent value! I certanly hadn't taken the running costs into account before - a point worth considering.

 Tell'em to clean their own damn pool, lazy gits! And why do it weekly, there's absolutely no need?

Haha Strewth - I'll pass your message on to my lazy git friends lol. For the record thay have somebody else to clean it because they both work full time.....full time being 50-60 hours a week. Living the dream!!

We are straying off the point here.

Maybe 8Yewtree you find the prices acceptable as you live here.

Maybe you swim 100 lengths a day.

Maybe,more to the point,you were one of the first 25 to sign up for free membership?

Whatever! Fact remains Taray promised me a pool,completed in 2008 at a minimal cost to residents.

Now in 2011,for occasional use, it works out at 30 euros a day for a family of four.

We were misled and in this current economic climate there is no justification for this daylight robbery.

 Just for the record when I said undesirabes I meant if it was so cheap you would get everyman and his dog there, and I don't mean our village but surrounding area's 

But I do agree it is expensive for just a pool. There needs to be more on offer like a indoor, outdoor gym steam room etc. I have full membership for my gym back home and it costs 27 pounds a month  which is cheap when you think what I get for that.

 Why don't we close this thread now that we finally have a pool allbeit  at unfair pricing

which hopefully our Presidents can hammer out with Taray over the coming weeks ?????

Yes sicknote I agree, maybe we should start a new thread Why is Our Pool so Expensive???

Perhaps we could then offer sensible suggestions on what prices would be acceptable,for when, or IF, a meeting is ever arranged by Taray with our Presidents. I have made my views abundantly clear to mine. This POSSIBLE meeting could be the only chance we get of achieving a realistic pricing structure.

I have a lot of faith anf trust in our President and if he says there will be a meeting, there will be and

he will do his very best to get us all what we want which is a quality pool at fair and honest pricing.

I think we all have to accept that this poolis never going to be free to use as we don't pay any

maintainence charges towards it.

But Taray also have to understand that whether it was their fault or the councils fault,

we have been robbed of our own pool for the last 3 or 4 years and it's only fair that we 

be compensated for that delay!!

Why would taray be able to do anything

THE POOL BELONGS TO THE TOWNHALL

two choices pay the entry or dont

If noone uses it, it won't make any money

none of us as far as I am aware has anything in writing advising what the pool costs would be prior to completion
