Where's Our Pool ???

recent photographs show that they have got on with the tiling on walls and floor

 There is now what looks like a large boiler in one of the rooms on which they fitted shutters there were also 4 vans and a mini bus on site this morning so things are looking good.  Will try and keep you in the UK up to date which is more than can be say about our President who on being asked what was happening with the pool told us it was none of our business.  If you want to know more about this send me a PM

as regards to a previous statement by mobaily i can confirm that she is well out of order

it was her husband that was very abusive to our president and slamed the door in his face

the pool is doing fine

may i say that the pool has nothing to do with any of the pesidents only with taray and the local council

So, Pat1, it is “well out of order” to update all of us non residents on how the pool is coming on and comment on a President who is widely thought of as a waste of time.

WRONG! WRONG! WRONG!

In fact Mo does not go far enough in criticism of a President who, it is alleged –

·         Tries his hardest to keep all his residents in the dark

·         Spends more time saving cents on plant watering and light bulbs than keeping his residents informed

·         Has been actively canvassing votes for several months in a vain attempt to stay in office

·         Regularly criticises Taray for every problem irrespective of blame  

Like Sicknote may we also add our thanks to Mo and Bryan for their regular updates re the pool and advise Pat1 to get out more and speak with their neighbours on how they view Mr President.

Let's not start fighting amongst ourselves!  The only way we will get anything positive achieved is to all "sing from the same hymn sheet" so to speak.

I have sent Mo and Bryan a private email thanking them for doing such a great job in keeping us informed on the progress being made at the pool etc.  It is so good to be kept up to date with what is going on when one is still living in the UK.  Long may it continue!!  Hopefully this Summer we can all meet up at the new leisure centre and enjoy a lovely relaxing drink!  For the first time I feel really positive that it is going to be finished.

I can also confirm that there are plenty of workman...doing plenty of work on site......I have no idea how much more work needs doing, but it is great to finally see progress being made

During my walk around to-day I could see that the tiling was nearly finished in the 8 toilets/changing rooms. They have also been finishing the floors through out and the bar area has been built, as per the photograph. This week has seen a lot of work on the roof, including coping stones around much of the area. They have positioned cabinets on the roof this week which we assume are to do with the air conditioning and the solar panels, which are yet to be installed. The are 55 working days until 1st May when our President said they had been told it would be finished. There is a lot of work for the electricians, glaziers, plasters, finishers, groundwork, canopy erectors and other trades to do. Many of these could work side by side but there is no evidence to date that a volume of work on the site happens any one time.

 There is now a large cabinet of some kind on the roof of the building (aircon?) also they have tiled the outside wall by the pool and have fitted the outside showers for both of the pools.  Also they have been putting up the uprights for the main fenceing that is going around the whole site on top of the wall.

Hi Forks have just put some new photos on line showing the outdoor showers for the large pool and the small pool plus they are now building the walls up to the main building forming the main enterance.  There is certainly plenty of work going on, on the site now. 

Iv just returned from SC and it does look as though they are going to push through to completion fairly soon.

 have put some more photos on site.  But just to say they are now putting the solar panels in place on the roof, and they have been digging new footings for other wall but don't know what it is for

Did the Presidents have a meeting with Taray this month and if so are they still on to finish everything  for 1st May?

Any news as to how or who is going to run the complex and the charges they will make?

It will be great to see it operational............THIS SUMMER

 Don't know about presidents meeting with Taray as we never seem to get any feed back but the work on the pool site is moving on nicely.  They have four rows of solar panels on the roof and it looks as if they have more to go up.  They are also rendering the outside walls of the building and have put up some more boundery walls.  The weather as not been very good the last few days with high winds today and rain and this may slow down work a bit but hopfully things will be done on time.

Feedback can only be provided once information is given to us.

Taray had suggested a date of late March for the next meeting with the community presidents.  An e-mail was sent to them last week asking for a meeting Friday (25th March) or early next week.

So far we have received no response from them.

I'm sure that individual communities will be told of any developments as soon as that meeting has gone ahead.

 Walked the dog this morning and they had deliveried the panels for the fenching and quite a lot of large white frames (covering for the swimming pool ??????

Drove passed at 1630 this afternoon and they have put up quite a few of the frence panels but more importantly they have begun to erect the slideing roof for the pool so things are now moving at a pace they were working until midnight last Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Will try and get some photos of the pool roof over the next couple of days and get them on here.

Mo and Bryan - thanks so much for the update.  It really sounds as if things are moving now.  We will be over at the end of this month and, who knows, might be there for the opening of the pool on 1st May!!
