Disappointing news but then we have become used to delays or false promises.
Has there been any official explanation as to why it is taking so long?
or can we all guess - lack of money to finish it off quickly

Why is it going to take six months to finish the facilities, I thought the pools were nearly finished, and work continuing on the buildings, has anyone asked Taray why so long, people who don't live there find it frustrating as we can't go to taray to get some answers, its bad enough getting repairs done and a proper answer to questions asked. how can we tell family when to come over and friends, when we are constantly being told different time scales we purchased 2007, and were told finished 2008 we are approaching 2011, how do they expect to sell the rest of phase 1 Looking like a building site, and residents having to tidy up the gardens, which shouldn't be their job, but can understand why they do it, we overlook the so called play area near the villiage, not a pleasant site.

We found out on Facebook as we have Manzana 3 set up on there & our vice president posted the dates following a meeting with Taray last Monday.
We have also spoken to another vice president who has given us this date so presumably this means all the facilities including the club house?
Perhaps you could find out more for us Andy or Mo?

I suggest you all e-mail your own Presidents asking for details of the meeting with Taray earlier this month.
Our President on Manzana 1 is doing a fantastic job in pushing Taray to get the job done as quickly as possible and is in constant contact with all of those who elected him. We couldn't ask more of him.
Push your own Presidents more!!!!!!!!!!!!

I totaly agree our President does a fantastic job, and more besides, we all had a post telling us the results of the meeting, and are kept informed of all outcomes. I think they are as frustrated as everyone else, all they can do is let Taray know how fed up we are, as they must be to. But Taray have changed the time scales that many times, to now say next year I just can't understand the delay. could it be down to lack of funds, they would sell more properties if they finished the area.

UPDATE
When I drove past today at around 9am, there was a number of workmen...not an army, but a good few, maybe around 10 or 12 guys.....cement mixer and large crane in place....didnt get chance to see exactly what was going on....but.....it's better than just the one token guy working which has been the case for an awful long time now

Yesterday the crane was being used for lifting large containers of concrete from the mixer lorry, up onto the roof.
Today the site is deserted, but that could be down to the general strike which is taking place today all over Spain.

Concrete mixer back on site along with crane . It seems that they are pouring concrete onto the bitumen they put down in the last few weeks,so would imagine they are trying to get the roof sealed before any bad weather so they can work inside!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are there still contractors working on the pool? or have Taray run out of money again. We all hope that this will be finished before Easter 2011 but...........................
Do the 'Presidents' know anything different please?

We have just arrived back home from San Cayetano and no there hasn't been much going on during the last week.
A few men have turned up and visited the pumping & filter stations and done a bit of work there.
Once again I will remind you to ask your own 'Presidents' who attend the meetings with Taray for an update. You all voted them in now push them for progress reports!!!!!!!
For your benefit our excellent 'President' has e-mailed us (following the 19th of October meeting) informing us that work is scheduled to recommence the 2nd week of November with an estimated completion date of the end of January/ beginning of February!!!!!! Let's keep our fingers and toes crossed.
Whether that happens or not we will see but there really doesn't seem that there is a huge amount of work to be completed. Looking from the outside I would say the plumbing & electrics have got to be installed in the buildings and then the whole building rendered. Once that is done I'm guessing it's a matter of leveling out the ground and landscaping the whole area.

I was informed by a few different people that 15th November was the date that a "team of workers" would be on site with the aim of it all being completed by end of Feb 2011.
Now then....unsurprisingly, I didnt see a team of men working yesterday....or even one man working !
Can anyone (maybe a President) comment on to what is actually known ?
Thanks in advance

I agree with Steve and Anita - we were certainly "led up the garden path" when we bought our properties. The pool, leisure facilities etc. was all part of the whole concept of what we thought we were buying into. It is unbelievable that we have all allowed Taray to get away with this. Even the video used to sell the properties contained all the facilities!
My only consolation is that various friends have stayed at my property in San Cayetano and expressed an interest in buying there. I have most certainly talked them out of it because of the broken promises made by Taray. They should certainly not be allowed to prosper at our expense!
Some of us have large cracks appearing on our properties and Taray, despite emails being sent, choose to ignore the whole problem. I have tried for the past 18 months to have this problem addressed to no avail. This is the only time I feel happy I live in the UK - these things would not be allowed to happen. Do they have no conscience?

Hi Pinot, We bought up the road from you in Balsicas, we have been ignored by Taray on a number of issues in the past, our most recent problem being leaking pipes under the tiled front garden, which we had to have repaired ourselves, costing us quite dearly for repairs and over €350 for leaked water. When we went to Taray to complain they DID NOT want to know, although the houses are only 3 years old. There has been at least 4 other houses with the same problem in Balsicas, so I warn all of you in San Cayetano to check your water meter when there is no water running to ensure it is not spinning around. We also have people coming over next March to buy (cash buyers) but you can be assured I will never let them buy from Taray. I am totally disgusted with the treatment (or lack off) by them.
Kind regards

Joan - I have been addressing this problem since September 2009 when I met with Fran (of Taray) and pointed out the cracks above the upstairs balcony which went right along my property (under the roof) and number 13. At this stage they would have been caused by subsidence which was covered by Taray for up to 3 year. My property was at that time only two and a half years old!! Fran was supposed to contact the people who look after my property in San Cayetano - of course nothing was done.
When I came out in April this year the cracks was significantly bigger and, on walking around the sight, I found it was happening to quite a few properties. George Austwick, who is our President, attended a meeting with Taray armed with a complete list of the properties being affected - to date no-one has been to see the properties or even shown an interest in our problem. Why?? I believe they did promise to look at these repairs after the pool etc. was finished - if there was any money left. So, where are our rights in all this?
I have now emailed Antonio who took over from Fran and have not even received an acknowledgement of the email. Will re-send and see if I get a reply. A few of us asked George to arrange for a structural engineer to look at the properties (at our expense) but so far this has not been achieved. Will also chase this up with George. I rather feel he has got the same response as the rest of us! Now hearing how they have treated the people who bought at Balsicas I find the whole thing unbelievable - we should now try and get something done legally. Any thoughts?
