The Comments |
Because of the last couple of messages left here, e-mailed the director general of Taray this morning - with an answer back this evening.
"We need the land completely dry - but people will see work commencing again tomorrow (Tuesday) on site". Also at our next meeting with them in March, they will provide a schedule of the work programme.
There is beginning to be an understanding that when receiving no comments from them, that people will obviously become edgy again about promises we've all heard before. PR has never been their strong point, but really think they are trying to address the issues now
Rest assured that the various presidents/vice presidents of your communities will continue to press home the need for communication and honest/realistic updates.

Another good meeting with Taray this morning. Despite the heavy rains of the last 2 weeks, they realised the importance of having people up on site doing some work, to assure owners that they were attempting to get things moving.
Outcome of our meeting was that the perimeter wall, plus the outer skin of the buildings is planned to be at near completion stage by the end of March. The hole in the ground!!! That we should begin to see at the beginning of April.
Certain areas of the leisure area will not be ready for the proposed June date - such as the golf driving range etc. and other facilities, the main emphasis being on achieving getting the pool put in for that time. The cover for the pool will then come later in the year, possibly September, along with the other items.
Hopefully at our next meeting with them in April, we will all be able to see major site developments.

I would personally like to say a big thank you to all the presidents for their efforts in helping to push Taray along into giving us our leisure complex that we all dream of.
Thank you very much for all the updates.
Best regards Sicknote

Tom, Many thanks for the photos of the leisure site. Great to know work is progressing. I am going over to San Cayetano at the end of this month and looking forward to seeing the many changes that have been made since my last visit.

I have just returned from San Cayetano and, although disappointed when I first arrived at the progress at the site, during my second week things certainly started moving quickly. One minute there was no wall around the leisure centre/bar area and the next day there it was! When I left yesterday afternoon I walked around and was quite impressed by the amount of work being done both extrernally and internally. Have taken photographs and will try and put them on this site at the weekend.
The monthly meetings which are taking place are certainly proving beneficial. I think the next step is to ask for more than 4 builders at a time to be working on the site to complete it by, hopefully, the end of June. I have always been an optimist - why change the habit of a lifetime??
