I have found nowhere on any site that says all taray home owners will receive free membership, which is only a one off payment. The fees per year are still the same. Were we all not told that we would get to use the center at a reduced rate. Why should we have to pay the same price as people who are not taray home owners, no offence to non owners. We deserve a better deal, after   all we have waited long enough for this center to be completed.

No membership fee and half price every year for all taray home owners, would be more reasonable.

We agree Tom. That would be a better deal for those like us that have purchased properties but cannot be here full time at the moment.

In the meantime we will continue to use the pool in the village or the beach during the summer, and may look at using Aquadel when it's cheaper in the winter.

What I am none too clear about is wether membership and or daily/annual (or whatever) fees are required if you only want to use the social facilities such as the bar and restaurant.   If this is the case how do Jim and Tracy feel about that ?

J.P.R. The bar/restaurant has a separate entrance to the pool area, so that it can be used without being a member of the leisure area so no fees are required.

 I have read everyones comments on the costs for the new pool with interest  and agree with most of them. Do think however that if anything is to be achieved, it would be better to send grievances direct to Taray.

I was pleased to hear last night via the Manzana 3 website that we have now been taken over by the Council, it is nice to have some good news for a change!

 Taray don't  have governance over the complex. The Town Hall has.

Hi all

Does anyone know if you buy an annual pass does it have your name on it or can it be used by anyone staying at your apartment as we rent ours out as a holiday rental and guests will not want to rent if they have to pay the summer prices for the pool.

It has already cost us as we are fully booked for this month and having told people that they will have the use of the pool on phase 9 as the passes have now  been taken away I have had to give them a refund to pay towards them getting into the new pool so we are not happy.

As it currently stands.....you can sign your membership to people renting your house. That is what is printed ion the latest info sheet

Does anybody know if there has been many people using the pool since its been opened.

 It's been quite busy over the last couple of days, quite a few kids etc.

Could be partyly down to holiday makers or people taking advatage of the temporary reduction to 5 Euros entry fee.

Apparently there is a meeting tonight between the presidents and Taray to discuss the issue.

Our president (Manzana 3) has canvassed our opinions prior to the meeting.

I don't know who starts these rumours, but I can assure all that there is NO SUCH MEETING taking place.  There is correspondence that has gone to Taray from community presidents relating to the whole issue of the leisure centre and its costs.

Taray advised one resident today that they had indeed got - and were looking at the points being raised by us.

We have offered to meet with them to discuss the issues, but are more hopeful that common-sense will prevail.

In fact the "rumour" was started by Taray themselves whose representative told my wife this at the pool site this morning.

The original rumour was that community presidents were having a meeting with Taray last Wednesday evening. The fact was that this was an internal meeting of Taray personnel only to discuss the issues regarding the pool. 

Community presidents have put forward suggestions and an offer to meet with Taray to try and resolve things

Right now we have received no response to that offer, so there is no meeting yet organised.

Mis-information, mis-interpretation and chinese whispers are bad enough for those of us lucky to be here on a permanent basis, but certainly does not help allay the anger and understandable frustrations felt by those whose only means of finding out what is going on is through this forum

I am sure that, as and when things develop, your community presidents will be the first to let everyone possible know the fac ts.

It's alright being out here and finding things out daily but when you get back home and have to rely

on EOS for your information it's extremely frustrating.

Let the Presidents do their best for us all. That's why we elected them in the first place.

Agreed - but I'm sure the Wrights are thinking they are the messengers being shot!.  If a Taray rep. told Mrs Wright there was a meeting between Taray and the Presidents she would have taken that at face value, as to be fair I think a lot of us would.

Let's just keep our fingers crossed that the outcome of the correspondence leads to a positive conclusion for us all.

We were in fact just passing on what we were told in good faith. We should have learnt by bitter previous experience to just keep ourselves to ourselves whilst out here, and let others who are clearly more in the know than us to get on with it.

I think what you reported just confirms that Taray make it up as they go along!

 Just got to love it out there, if its not WHERE'S OUR POOL its HOW MUCH. It seems to me you will be only bored 

 if there was nothing going on. I think the pool looks fab, and at leased if its expensive it will keep undersirables out.

Could do with a GYM though for all us fitness freaks lol.
