Haworth, Thanks for your support. I agree that if the prices remain the same there should definitely be more on offer.

A Gym, Steam Room, Spa, Jacuzzis and I would expect a Pool of at least Olympic proportions.

I have now seen our Expensive Pool and it looks very nice.

Don't think you need worry however about it being used by Everyman and his Dog.

Not unless it is a Chihuahua

Sicknote, I am sure your President is working hard on your behalf.

Have you told him your expectations of costs,so he is aware of your feelings for when Taray hopefully agree to a meeting?

All everyone wants is a quality pool at a fair and honest price that reflects our long wait and status as Taray residents.

San Lorenzo  Where can we ALL access your information that Taray is no longer running the Pool?

Our Presidents need to be aware of this to know who to contact as they are still labouring under the illusion it is Taray and are trying to organise a meeting. So who then is in charge? I am sure we are all very interested to know.

I am sure that if the Council were in charge, Taray would have passed the buck by now, as they did with the cleaning.

If some people want to roll over and play dead so be it but there are lots of others not prepared to.

The last time we went over to the pool which was Thurs last week  Fran from Taray was still on the reception desk and we drove past on Friday morning Ester was opening up and she works for Taray, so I would say that Taray are still looking after the pool at the moment.  Antonio from Taray did tell us last week that they were having meetings with regards the francise to run the pool so it would seem that it will not be the local council.

If you go to the following link :-

 http://www.aquadelcenter.es/tarifasyhorarios.pdf

you will find the new tariff in both Spanish and further down, in English that supposedly starts today, if it's the 8th of August that is ????

I agree that Taray employees seem to be the only ones working at the desk but Aquadel are doing all the marketing of the pool.

If the prices indeed do increase today to rate they were origanly, then instead of posting angry messages on this website,

e-mail Taray direct at taray@taray.es with your comments !!!!! Keep them cleanish !!!!!!

Maybe when their Inbox is full up of moaning, angry, fed up and let down owners, they will finally get the message from us all !!!!!!

whislt I agree with the marority of post on here about the prices and the fact that they should come down I think that the yearly price foe those who are living out here permently are not to bad as the price for a couple works out at 1€ per day which is not that bad I agre that those of you who live in England and only use your place as a holiday home do face a high price and is should be looked into.  But it is worth remembering that this pool will be open 364 days aof the year unlike pools at say Roda golf which are only open during the summer months and are emptied out for the winter months.

Please don,t take it that I agree wholeheartedly with the priceing as I don't but please remember that we have now got a pool we can use in year round unlike some others.

If it's open 365 days of the year then it should be the same price every day !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As a owner who comes over during school holidays, we already get stung by EasyJet and the car rental companies.

To be stung by Taray when we get here is just so out of order especially when Antonio, who sold me my place and the guys next door, told me at the time 'The whole site must be finished by the summer of 2008'

Now I know hindsight is a wonderfull thing and nobody could have seen the credit crunch and recession coming (except the banks) but Taray should not try and make us 'Holiday Owners' pay for it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck to all those that live here all year round (I'm green with envy) and if you got a good deal from Taray then I congratulate you for doing so but the same is not true for the people who can't live here for various reasons and travel here maybe 3 or 4 times a year.

Thanks for that Mo and Brian, was it busy?

Well said Sicknote and Thank You for your excellent advice. I am so upset, will complain direct to Taray and hope others will do likewise.Do you know if this Aquadel is a subsiduary of Taray so just them under another name?

As for the price being OK for people that live there, suppose if you use it 365 days a year, but how many would unless practising for 2012? Surely if all the costs were worked out on everyone using it daily then the pool would need to be the size of half of San Cayetano?

Just don't think Taray thought this through at all and completely disregarded the feelings of us residents who bought from them in good faith and at top whack!

Have just got back from dog walk and theres only 10-12 people in the pool area, only 2 in the actual pool. Saw some people walking to the entrance only to walk away, probably didnt have enough money on them to pay to get in!!!!

Here is the answer, pool bought locally for just 45€ including pump and filter, use from end of May until mid September,in the comfort of your own garden, and you can also enjoy your favorite tipple in the pool (in plastic cups of course) no screaming kids no urine in pool, and just RELAX, then use water at end of season to flush your toilet, hows that for recycling. The only cost effective solution to all your pool problems.

At end of season, drain, dry, clean filter and pack away ready for next year.

 Nice one Steve and Anita.

As we live in a penthouse do you think Taray would mind if we put ours on the wasted ground near the paddle courts ???

Maybe in 5 years time when we might get our driving range we could fill them with sand and use them as bunkers

Love your sense of humour guys, guess if we didn't laugh we'd cry.

So just imagine if you are trying to sell your house at the moment.

Drive into village past the rubbish dump, hope there's no rats about.

Enter Hacienda Taray's dirty, unswept roads.Pass the rubbish bins, the broken, vandalised play area, the sad neglected communal garden missing some of it's palm trees and covered in excrement.Hope the overflowing bins full of crap don't stink too much.

Enter home, hope they don't notice the cracks Taray refuse to repair.

Then the piece de resistance! Announce that for a family, the current cost for the first year, including inscription, to use the pool is 620 Euros! But then produce with a flourish, TA DA your very own blow up model!

Could be a Clincher!

Have just pinged an e-mail off to Taray having just seen the latest farcical price offers.  As sicknote says we really do need to let Taray know the strength of feeling on this.

Yes Pumpkin,I have too.

Think we must all stand together on this,if we want a result.

Probably watched Gladiator too many times!

Also been disappointed by Taray too many times (as you may have gathered!)

Had hoped when we got our smart new pool things would improve.

This breaking of promises and insult to us residents is the final straw, this camel has definitely got the hump!

Anyway, I understand it's a heatwave over there, so Steve and Anita, where did you buy your pool?

Eroski, Dos Mares, but they are available in most good supermarkets. They are blessing in this heat.

Yes Steve and Anita

Think I'll be getting my own private pool.

Your great description has sold it to me.

That and the difference between 45 and 620Euros!

Without a calculator, quite a bloody lot !!!!!!!!

The goods news is it's 4pm and I can count no more than 25 people at the pool !!!!

if you are boycotting it, well done !!!!! What a difference 1 week makes. It was packed this time last week !!!!!

I'm sure Taray's accountants will deliver the message soon but it will be too late for us holiday owners

and they have lost their chance to make some real money over the summer. Tough, for being GREEDY !!!!

at the risk of being shot down as some sort of "traitor to the cause" ... €165 for 15 days / 2 adults and 3 kids ... by my calculation £2 or €2.20 per person per day. That's not so bad is it? I'd have to pay more than that for the local council pool at the bottom of my road here in the UK

Personal choice, and clearly mistakes were made initially, but Taray have listened and seem to me to have responded in a reasonable manner. Don't claim to speak for us ALL on this issue.

P.S I look forward to the condemnations...
