Where's Our Pool ???

Congratulations from Colin and Joan to Jim and Tracy,  but sorry we won't be there when they open if its mid August we go home on the 16th, is the pool area definatly open Saturday, as thought  Taray were putting a notice up with date and times of opening

 Here it is folks. The one we have all been waiting for !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have just uploaded the latest picure of the pool and a picture of the announcement notice from Taray saying the pool will open on the 1st August but can be viewed from this Saturday the 30th July.

The cafe etc will be open somewhere around the middle of August and the rest will follow asap.

I know we have all had bad things to say about Taray but it has been made clear to me that it is the councils fault, not theirs for the delay.

All I can say is Taray have made a bloody good job of the pool area to a very high standard.

 Thanks for the photos Sicknote. Great improvement from when we last saw it in April. We are out mid September and looking forward to using the facilities. Enjoy your time in Spain and thank goodness the family can have fun in the pool  :)

Thanks for the information with regards to the pool etc  but cant really understand it as in spanish  is it possible to put on the information in english or just a breakdown

Maybe its just us, and we certainly dont want to seem ungrateful especially after waiting for the last 4 years for this facility, but does anyone else think the prices to use the pool at the 'Aquadel Centre' are very expensive?

 Basically it translates as follows :- To use the pool for 1 day is €9 for an adult & €6 for a child.

                                                                To buy a block (bono) of 10 days is €63 for an adult and €42 for a child.

Not sure about the other option 'ABONO MENSUAL' but I'm guessing it may be a month.

These are the summer prices which are 3 times as expensive as the winter prices.

I think the pricing is way too expensive as you can use the municpal pool for €2 or even go to La Torre 5* Hotel for €10 a day.

It doesn't take into account any reduction in pricing for waiting 3 extra years for the pool facilities.

It is such a shame that Taray have made such a good job from the outside view of the pool but to me they are going to price themselves out of the reach of a lot of people !!!!

I don't know if it is Taray or the council that has set the prices but I am going to find out hopefully next week when I pay Antonio a visit at the Taray offices to find out why it is so expensive !!!!!!!!!!!

Well i am sorry to say that price is just outrageous. We have waited all this time for this facility which they marketed with the sale of the properties. Let me also say this is the first time i have commented on the pool we have all waited so long for.

I am not against paying for our facility, but believe you me i will not be paying them prices. I will be going to the big pool (Mar-Menor)

I wouldnt even argue if they were to put our rates up to compensate the use for all residents. This way i cannot see many people using it, such a shame but lovely to look at.

I am sure the spanish community  will also not pay them prices. Best of luck with the Bar hope is not 10 euro a pint !!!!!!!!

I dont post much but as others i am shocked and feel we have all been cheated, I was one who beleived and trusted Taray, what a fool am I.

Do you have to be a member to gain access to the complex / bar, if so that will be dead also.

Absolutely disgusted and p-ssed off.

thanks for the breakdown i am  deeply distressed at the prices after waiting for four years i am out with my grandchildren for three weeks next week and no way am i paying 300 euros for three weeks to use the pool  i really fell cheated after all the wait  and   constant dissapointments as to when we got the pool plus paying a premium for the property and facilities in the first place

 I think we should all boycott the new pool until the summer tariff has been abandoned by Taray and the fees are the same all year!!!

It's suposed to be a facility that can be used all year round so why should we have to pay 3 X the fee just because it's summer???

 San Cayetano Pool=extortionate prices. Mar Menor+ The Med + The Mud Baths+ The fantastic Calblanque Beach= A lot more fun and natural beauty and a gallon of fuel maybe. A no brainer really.
