Has anyone been to Aqualandia in Benidorm?  I am wondering whether to visit Aqua natura in Murcia or if the drive up to Benidorm is worth it for Aqualandia instead??  Thanks, Arlene

if you can pick up some vouchers it cuts the cost too and not so far to drive!!

Hi,

Aqualand in Murcia is great - we have now been many times with the kids and they love it ! Plenty to keep all ages amused, well run, clean and reasonably priced - also really easy to get to from CDA !

Suggested Tips :

1. Do try and get discount vouchers in advance - these are widely available (even at the toll booth at the motorway, and in most pertol stations) and will save you a significant amount.

2. Last year they offered a buy "Come today and come back again another day free" offer - which was great as the kids were keen for a return trip - at no cost - a no brainer if they do it again this year.

3. This is dual adventure -  with a zoo and a water park - do both - they are great in their own right - our kids loved the zoo as you can get up close to all the animals as well as buy food to feed them. Interactive talks and plenty of places to stop and have a break/beer/snack make for a great day out. Don't rush round - life is not a rehearsal.

4. For the water park, if you are going over lunchtime you may want to consider going to Ikea, El Corte Ingles etc... for something to eat fist - water park is not cheap and lunch menue not particularly appealing, unless you eat at one of the snack bars in the zoo - (the one next to the Wolf enclosure was really nice) - Great, Cheap and very Spanish -all freshly cooked, fish, meat etc.. .

5. Sunscreen and lots of it - it's like sitting ina bowl of tin foil in the summer !

6. Go with the flow - this is a Spanish family attraction and there are lots of happy, noisy kids - which makes the whole experience better in our view.

Try it and enjoy !

Thanks guys.  Sounds like the one right on our doorstep is as good as any.  We have 3 kids to amuse so the shorter the journey the better I suppose.  Arlene.

I can't find an aqualand near to Murcia - all I am finding is Aqua Natura - I presume this is the right one as it seems to have a zoo there too - sounds great and we will definitely pay a visit when we are over this summer.  There's money off coupons on the website!

AJW,

we went to the waterpark in Murcia last summer.  It is fairly good, we paid 80 euro for 2 adults and 2 kids last summer, which facilitated entry to the waterpark and the zoo for one day, with the following day free.  I didn't think the 80 euro was excessive for 4 persons, but did not go back the next day as one day was probably sufficient. A tip for what its worth - take food, drink and deck chairs - they are fairly expensive within.

this year we have a fortnight break and are splitting it up with a one night overstay in benidorm - 2hrs max away.  1st day we are going to terra mitica (a lesser version of porta ventura) but its 100 euro for 5 persons including a buffet lunch.  Went last year and the kids enjoyed it.

We are then staying overnight in bendiorm and going to aqualandia for the day.  i consider it much better than murcia.  Slides etc way better (according to the kids), though again, pricey inside.  Water is also salt water, but I would recommed it.  Again, about 100 euro for the 5 of us.

You have lots of choice, try them all and have a great holiday

Thanks for that.  We went to Terra Mitica at Easter this year and the kids loved it and we do plan to go again this visit (3 weeks time).  I had half wondered about doing exactly the same as you guys and just staying over and doing both parks.  Do you know if there are any vouchers kicking around for terra mitica and aqualandia anywhere?  I quite fancy a night in a nice hotel too!!  Arlene.
