Security Passes

We're out at Condado at the moment and are really impressed with the way that it's coming along.

We came through security yesterday and was told that the owners security car passes were now ready to collect at the security gate near to Al Kasar.  Not all of them are there at the moment but should be within the next few days.

Does that mean it is not necessary  to email them prior to going out?  Just wait until you go out and the card will be waiting for us at the gate?

Have you actually picked up your pass from the security lodge?  We asked the lady at security and she told us we needed to go to the office but haven't had chance to do it yet.

Seems passes for jardines are at gate ready to pick up. Penthouses are not ready yet but soon?

As Barry has said some of the passes are ready but ours wasn't, we've been told to go back at the back end of the week to try again.

Sorry if I am asking a question already answered, but are these passes to automate entry somehow or just to display to get access into CDA?

I am also over next week, so can pick it up, but also have friends coming over and gather I need to email security with the details?

If the security passes are just something you display in your windscreen, then would I be write in thinking that any undesirable with a descent photocopier just needs to get their hands on one, copy it, issue them to dodgy friends and hay ho even easier access to the resort than they have already. Impressive if so!

These passes are a temporary measure until the electronic card system is up and running. 

There have been a number of complants from owners and workers alike about having to give thier details on every visit, this is an attempt to overcome that and to reduce any queues at the gates.  

Hopefully the new system will be ready within the next few weeks, so save your money on photocopying these cards are only temporary
