Ryanair to charge £2 per person per flight for check in

The last time we were over on Jan 19th  we were told anytime between Apr- Sept 07

Does anyone have any updates on this, if so was this from your solicitor, Roda after sales, or maybe crystal ball.!!

If any one is going out in the near future can they post an update on this thread.

The blocks on faze2 nearest faze1 have now been painted and the trees planted.

There has been good progress on all the blocks since we were over in Jan 07, but the ones furthest away from faze1 are still long way off being ready.

Its very difficult to estimate a completion time but as a guess i would say earliest would be May 07.

The builders look to be working flat out 6 days a week until 7pm at nite.

If any one has more info we would be pls to hear.

I was talking direct with Calidona on this subject today.

There is a letter due out to all faze2 purchasers next week confirming the release dates. I was told completions would commence some time in May 07.

we have just had word from halifax saying

"we won't be able to get land registry details on your property until 28 May and cant move on till then"

i asked them if this means we wont be able to complete before then and they said "correct"

we are on block 35, which acording to pics looks to be one of the soonest to complete on phase 2 , so i would imagine it will be june before any completions will be happening.

Just to give all Phase 2 buyers our experience of completing on Roda.

We completed on Phase 1 back in Dec, Roda had originally given us a date in Aug which we knew was not possible because we had been out there only a couple of weeks before so we didn't take this serious.Then they came up with a date a couple of days B4 Xmas,we told them this didn't suit us because it wasn't possible(work commitments) & said we could do mid Dec otherwise it would have to wait til Jan.Roda's reply to this was that ALL P1 was to be completed B4 the end of the year(we know now that this  was not the case)

When i heard that the first P2 properties were to be released in May it made us laugh,maybe the few that line the Golf course yes but no way that the bulk of them will be ready in our view til July earliest.Roda i think are just trying it on & my advise is don't let them rush you into completing,you are in the driving seat because once you pay the final installment it is very hard work to get them to do any outstanding snagging(ours has just had the last odd snags sorted !!!!)

Just back from visit this week.  Phase 2 is still a long way from completion.  No closing will happen during August due to Notario holidays so if you don't close by July, you're looking at the Autumn.  We have booked flights for mid August and expect to be renting!

I agree with comments below, don't rush acceptance, make sure you get the quality of house you are paying for and deserve!

Still can't get actual dimensions for our villa, quite incredible.

Hi everyone

Have just received a phone call from our lawyer Martinez attached to MRI to let us know our 2 bedroom penthouse apartment is due for completion in June. However, they have an issue with the developers regarding our property.

We purchased our 2 bedroom penthouse with solarium on a two storey block but the developers have built on top of this so therefore we do not now have a solarium. We are being offered a choice of two options 1. stay with same apartment which is now middle floor without a solarium and receive a refund or 2. move to the top floor and stay with solarium but pay extra 32000 euros.

We have refused to accept either option stating that we want absolutely nothing shorter than what we paid for and dont expect to pay any extra for a  top floor solarium. Oh dear........ my head is now such a muddle!

Would appreciate any thoughts on this matter that may help us reach a decision. Martinez are away speaking with developers and getting back to us on Monday.

Good point I will be asking lawyer this question on Monday when they phone. I am not sure how they can ever get away with what they are trying to do, but I am not going to get too worried about things just yet as I am hopefull we can resolve things amicably. Fingers crossed xx

I had a reply from an e-mail I sent and they told me 14th June, but then my mortgage  adviser in Spain spoke to them last week and they told him July!!  Your guess is as good as mine.

When our lawyer (Martiniez) telephoned a couple of weeks ago he told us our completion would be June sometime.

Bye the way, we received an e-mail recently letting us know the issue we had with the builders had been resolved. Stewart and I are delighted that we still have our 2 bedroom penthouse apartment with solarium at no extra cost albeit one storey higher. We are now on the third floor instead of second as builders decided to build an extra apartment on our block.

We have also received from Roda this week a letter indicating that we are near completion and will need to register for supplies to our house. This is all a bit confusing as Electric and Water supply is optional as we can register elsewhere but Gas must be registered with Roda.  We are supposed to fill in an attached registration document, sign and return it to them but there are no document enclosed. Anyone else received this letter and what do you think with regards registering with Roda or another supplies company. Confused!!!!

Would appreciate some advice from anybody that has connected to supplies.
