we have also received the letter re utilities, and also there was no attache forms to sign!
we are looking into it also as our bamk said we should not pay any connection fees till the completion had been finalised.

Hi we have just come back from roda today, the weather was fantastic over the weekend . phase one is slowly starting to mature, plants growing and pools looking clean (still not many people about). We were disapointed as we were told we would be shown around phase 2 where we have bought a 3 bed penthouse,we wouldnt be able to get in to our apartment but we could be shown where it was, (after 18 months of waiting boy were we excited). Yes you guessed when we arrived it was not possible to get on site as builders still working, All apartments are painted and look well on their way to being finished, roads are still not in place which make it lok like a building site. We had really good feeling about roda for the first time in ages, phase 3 is well on its way, and phase 4 is also looking to be taking shape. Im sure all the waiting will be worthwhile, so hang on in there and be patient !!! hard as it is!!

We have just been given 26th June for completion. I was about to book flights but having spoken to our mortgage advisor in Spain he doesn't think Roda will have the paperwork ready by then and thinks July more likely. We bought through MRI so have contacted them to liaise with everybody. Watch this space!!

We have been given a completion date of June 20th but we are trying to put this back a week due to Roda not giving us enough time to sort our mortgage out. If anyone needs mortgage advice we used a guy who we know well and he has just opened an office on the way to La Torre. If you need his details e-mail me, he's a really nice chap and professional.

Hi, we have just been given a date - 27th of july to complete on our 3 bed penthouse in block 45 ,does anyone think it is too early to book our flights,are roda able to change this date at short notice?

We are just back from Roda today. We are in block 50.
We were given signing date of 24 July and whilst there signed for our utility connections.
We were told the snagging would be in the am and keys would be handed over pm. We asked if we would be able to stay in our apartment the following week and told ok no probs.
The keys will be held by the after sales office and released to our furniture/ lighting and AC suppliers on the receipt of an email.
Faze 2 looks almost complete with the exception of the cooker/hob and sink in the kitchens. The major landscaping and swimmimg pools are near to being finished.
Is there anyone else in block 50 on the forum. ???

You have to take a chance - we were originally due to complete on Tuesday 7 November and had arranged to fly out on Sunday 5 November. On the afternoon of Friday 3 November we had a call from our lawyers and our bank to say that it was highly unlikely that we would complete on the due date as Roda had not got all the relevant paperwork in order which would make it impossible for completion. We went anyway, snagged, etc. They then wanted us to complete in December. I refused and in the event we completed in the New Year on January 9 and flew out the following week by which time all of the furniture was in and locks changed.
Hope it all goes well for you - we are out on Tuesday for 10 days -and I am told that mostly the resort is looking good.

We are in block 42 and have been given 17th July as completion date. We are going to try and put this back a week as it is impossible for us to go out on their given date. Like you Celtic, we are wondering when to book flights - book too early and the paperwork may not be ready - leave it too long and miss out on flights altogether! By the way, thanks to Sugarmummy for the wealth of information he has just posted. With regard to rentals, we have been recommended a company called Resort Management - they are very well established already at La Manga, Mar Menor Resort, so will probably go with them. For furniture we are using Inside Right - they are not cheap but will provide as little or as much as you want.

We are in block 35 and completing on 30th july
Our worry if there is any problems/over runs this will take us into August and according to our agents Medsea there is no completion dates due the spanish legal system closing down for this month.
Still look forward to getting over there and enjoying Roda

We have been told that our mortgage cannot be arranged in time for completion on 26 June. We are still thinking of going out for that date to do the 'snagging' and give Power of Attorney to the Solicitors to complete at a later stage. Did anyone on Phase 1 do this?

Hi - we had exactly the same scenario - otherwise they expect you to snag in the morning and complete in the afternoon. I would say, go for it this way as this will give you some time to get all the issues listed which they have to then complete within 15 days of completion. Any snagging issues noted post completion - well in fact the Builder has up to a year I believe to do that work, so it is sensible to be as thorough as you can be before completion.
However, I have to say that the Technical SErvices department havbeen great this week and have sorted out all sorts of bits and pieces that we noted during our stay over there (just got back last night after 10 lovely days). I can send you some pix s of our completed apartment if you want to pm me.
