Buying a property, moorings, boat, Spanish Bank account and need financial advice

Hi sandra, unfortunately most people were shown various other projects as a guide to fittings, we were shown fuengirola hills. These apartments has lovely kitchens and we were told la condesa would be far more lavish with a lot of quality fittings. We saw the show flat before it was trashed and although the out lay was very good the kitchen seemed a little pockey with an outlook on to a utility room. We were disappointed. Apparently the original speck was high tech, with telephone alarm and heating settings. This was from a good source at inter realty who was on one of the main launches.

I knew that I wasn't wrong about the quality of the kitchen fittings. We were shown a far superior quality one to that which has been installed. I asked the Majestic staff if  the spec. had been changed and they point blank said they were as originally planned. I remember saying to them that any architect worth his salt would have forgone the jacuzzi bath to install a decent quality kitchen. After all , it is supposed to be an award winning development.

 Do you also know if an indoor swimming pool and health centre/gymnasium were on the original spec.?

Not that we were under the impression there were to be these facilities, just that we heard they were in the original plans or the development.

We are original purchasers who bought through Interealty before they went bust.  At no time was an indoor gym/pool mentioned and although the contract states there will be a tennis court, we were told before we decided to buy that the tennis court would NOT be built.  We have always been aware of the standard of kitchen, utility room and bathroom.  We are expecting an entry phone system, but not an alarm, as per the contract.

We were, however, originally told that all apartments would be allocated a storage room in the garage area but when Majestic took over they changed the layout of the garages so that only some of the apartments would have a storage room.  We were told we would not get one but could never find out who had been allocated a storage room and how it  was decided they should get one.

How were you aware of the standard of the kitchen?

Interealty were our agents also, so how come we have differing expectations of the standard?

Who was your salesperson? Sean Boyle?

We knew there was no storage room on our purchase.

What colour did you expect the development o be painted?

White or the colour it is now?

We were told there would be entry phone and sattelite connection.

Sorry to be brief and to the point, and for directing so many questions.

We put our deposit down in April 2003 and our salesman was Stan, although I can't at the moment remember his surname.  We spent a lot of time poring over the plans and specifications in theTorremolinos office and again, I can't remember exactly what we were told, but we never expected marble worktops in the kitchen.  In fact, it is the bathroom basin marble washstand we are most disappointed with.  We expected the outside to be painted a creamy colour, but didn't expect the two-tone colours it has been painted.  I assume you also know now that the bridge between the two larges swimming pools isn't going to be built on "health and safety" grounds.
