hi sue & david,
i enclose part of the last email from our solicitor which clearly stated, according to him, that the land registry document has been granted, but has not yet been "recorded".
"On the meantime, I wish to inform you that Taray has already the Fin De Obra (Final Building Works, please let me know your fax number and I will fax it to you). Regarding the Land Registry you mentioned, I think you mean Escritura de Declaración de Obra Nueva y División Horizontal (I am sorry, I do not know the English translation) it has been already granted and send it to the Land Registry, it should be recorder in the Land Registry in a few days, I have requested to Taray send me a copy as soon as it been recorder."
i don't know why it should take so long but if we all asked for an answer i'm sure we would all be given a slightly different explanation. elaine and i have little trust in all of them ( taray, our agents and solicitor.) there seems to be too close a working relationship between all of them and there seems little we can do about it ?
you may also remember in this email i asked my solicitor to confirm that taray had a bank guarantee in place for our property and could he get a fax copy of this for us. unsuprisingly taray doesn't have this guarantee in place for our house and i am waiting to hear when this will be done! finding situations like this doesn't inspire much confidence in us and taray are not going to get another euro from me until every piece of paperwork is in place and they have fulfilled their contract to us which includes the pool and gardens!
however in saying all that we look in at forums for other sites ( trampolin hills for example ) and it's sad to read the problems people experience. it must be really stressful. the question is are we happy with the way the development is taking shape at san cayetano? my answer would be yes. personally i think in 12 - 18 months it could be the best new development in the area !
i'm sure things will happen very soon with regards to the land registry.
regards,
ken..
