Land ownership in Spain

Can anyone help with a little information from Spain please?

Is there a department, like in England we have the Land Registry, that can help me find the ownership of the land at Albatera/

I am referring to the land that San Jose have sold property deposits on, and not issued any bank guarantees.  I want to clear up the ownership of this parcel of land and would be gratefull to have any information about how I may find this out, or who to approach

Yes Spain too has a land register, which shows current ownership of land, property. We instruct our Administrators to access the land register to find out who owns the property before we take them to court for non-payment of Community Fees.

We are visiting our Administrators tomorrow and will ask the contact details for you.

Albatera does not have a land register office. The nearest is Callosa telephone number: 965312004. If you tell them the area you are interested in the will put you through to the right department.
