Hi Pauline,

I think if you queried having a choice of  tiles which you were told about Peinsa would refer to the specification.  Our specification doesn't mention a choice unless they changed it from when you purchased, and they do state they can make any necessary or essential modifications if the executive direction considers it necessary, as well as for the use of new materials as long as it does not affect the qualities or the living area of the property.   I read somewhere this week that Spanish builders are notorious for their lack of communication. Our agents should be working for us and find out  information from the builder and pass it on.  I also remember reading on the forum for United Golf that they had changes made to the inside of the apartments, and they also replaced a pool area by a childrens playground, today they have vanishing gardens, and I'm sure these changes weren't officially announced.  I don't think it's just Peinsa who are making changes, I think this must happen a lot with off plan developments. I

Hi Val

When we paid our 1st deposit of 3000 Euro there was no specification prepared, we were just told that we would have a choice of tiles. It was not until a year later that we found out that there was to be no choice.  Our specification does not make it clear one way or the other. Our agents are very good and they pass on any information that they can get a hold of.

I am looking forward to seeing the finished showhouses when we next go out.. mid March. We saw them in January, what we saw looked good but of course they were not finished . The tiles did not look good.

Hi Pauline

I think the phrase they use of making any changes as necessary by the executive direction covers them for being able to alter most things.  We are going out in a months time when we should be able to see the show houses, so we will reserve judgement on the tiles until we have seen them.  We were told we could have white tiles with a border if we didn't like the tiles which they had chosen.

Hi Pauline,  If you did not like the tiles you saw in Jan. I wonder if that is when they stripped them off because they did not like them either. Perhaps their designers will come up with a neutral feel that most people would like.

Hi Guys

Everybody seems to be down over the past couple of days, and i include myself with the changes to the pool area. Lets all cheer up a little if we can, its like reading the deaths column when i open up the forum. There has been a lot of progress on the site since Christmas we all agree, and we are all going out there at some stage during the next couple of months. I am sure there will be a lot more to see than previously. We are all looking at Dec07 and onwards for completion and even then phase 2 will be starting so the place will resemble a building site for some time.

When we go out lets ask Sonia and Elena for planned completion stages over the coming months. By end of Feb = Showhouses, by end of April = ? by end of June = ?? then we will be in a better position to discuss issues arising.

It has been extremely difficult for us all especially those of you who purchased in 2005 and my heart goes out to you. But lets hang in there together as a group.

Well said Pat & Miriam, I have tried so hard to stay upbeat and find positives but the last week has been difficult. When buying off plan anywhere completion dates are always late. I knew what to expect as know several people who have bought off plan. The least time anyone was over was 6months and the longest near Estopona was 3 and half years. Perhaps we should all start looking forward to when every thing is built and what a happy beautiful place we shall have. Carol

I wish I could have put it like you did Pat, we also have been trying very hard to stay positive.  I am sure we all have a lot to look forward to in the future.

We agree with the comments made regarding the low morale of some buyers, i'm begining to feel that even before i come on to the site i'm going to read that  someone is unhappy about something,i think we should all bare in mind  we are not  all going to be happy with everything, we should reserve our judgements untill we see the show homes or get the chance to talk to either Peinsa or the girls on site.

Hi everyone

Regarding the choice of tiles. When we went out in July we were asked by Elena/Sonia which tiles we wanted and were shown a selection to choose from. Whether that has now changed i don't know.

With regard to the delays. Sit back and relax, mine has just gone up in value by 34000 euros and by 66000 since we paid the deposit. when they are completed they will want some more money.

If they keep putting the prices up they can take as long as they want. Apologies to those who want to move in but as an investment i am delighted.
