Access for Rentals

Hi

I have folk going over next week to stay in our flat.

We have emailed security and made a copy of the form from the community website for our friends to take.

is this the correct procedure. i know things have been changing re access recently and am a bit unsure

Recently we e-mailed to say we were going to be visiting Condado, we too had no reply so would be interested in knowing what the proceedure is or is going to be.

The green card is being replaced soon with a swipe card

will visitors get a visitors card maybe?

What is the green card. We paid our first visit  this year to our apartment in February. Our last holiday was March last year.

Did`nt & don`t know anything about a green card.

I just emailed  all of our details about 4 weeks before our visit

Some times our details were checked & other times not.

Can`t wait for June 26th. we will be over again  until July 8th .

The 'green cards' are issued to owners on request by resort manager Millenium, you put the card in your windsceen, and security should just open the barrier and allow you access without any hastle! however as mentioned in previous post they are now in the procces of installing a swipe card system, will keep you updated when this comes to fruition!

Thats exactly what we did last time and our visitors had no problems - we also told our visitors just to wave at the security rather than stop and wind down the window so they never even checked in.

When we go over - we have never received a green card, we send the same email and just wave at the security staff and drive straight through.

We never receive replies from our emails either! I always suggest keeping a copy of the email too - just in case! :)

Having a copy of the email is a good idea. I will do that next time.

However I am concerned that the guards are excepting " a wave" & letting people through. ,I think it exceptable to do so if you have been on site a few days as the guard will eventually remember your face. But on your first  visit. That is a no  no.

I would expexct more security after all of this time.

Maybe the new card will prevent this.

We were stop d a few times  but our passports were only looked @ once by a femaleguard & that was  the one time we left by the La Isla gate.

You could say that with Ham having a natural tan ( sorry private joke) he would be easily remembered but as for us of  the lighter skin  I would imagine we all look the same @ first
