Lack of Promotion for Condado

Hi

I have just spent the last 30 minutes looking to find Condado De Alhama on the variety of promotional sites for Murcia including one from the Tourist Board. There are many Golfing resorts mentioned but Condado is not one of them

There are some good write ups about Mazzeron & Cartengena & some sites include accomodation i the area  But there is nowt about Condado.

Why is there a lack of this, often free promotion. Is it because no one knows we are there, I wonder.

I think for those of us keen to rent out our properties it is some thing that needs to be addresses ASAP

Would not this fall under the remit of " jobs to do " for ML I wonder.

I know there is a saying around here that you get Nowt for Owt ( nothing for nothing) But I am very much aware of the avenues to take advantage of that are free. But that is here in the UK. I am not  familiar with this avenue in Spain

 Great title and yes we really need to promote CDA but how?

I think if we had the clubhouse we would have no bother promoting via Golf sites etc, but without the other facilities it will be difficult to promote as a holiday destination.

Some of the other sites do a great job of promoting the resort, others do more damage?

ML have no remit to promote the site their function is purely Maintenance. Howevr they have add on services such as Insurance and possibly rental services?

If anyone can suggest a positive way to promote the site then perhaps we can seek advice, on the way ahead? 

Maybe if all owners who are seeking rentals all donate a few euros to a fund? then we can dream up some adverts and promote the resort in UK, Scandanavia, and even spain but adverts cost money and somebody needs to arrange.................

A group of us tried this last year - and some of us are still plugging away

It was called the Condado de Alhama Rental Management Association.

About 15 of us chipped in £10 a month to pay for ads on golf websites etc in the hope of generating some interest.

We had our own website, 'committee', organisation etc

Unfortunately, I think most people were expecting too much too soon, and, as there were not a lot of enquiries generated, one by one, the 'members' dropped out

There are only about 3 or 4 of us left, but we're still paying our £10 a month in the hope of building up a fund that can be used to start advertising again when things pick up a bit

I have learnt that advertising does not work. Promotion does & the best way to get peoples interest is for them to  read about you or your product on a very regular basis but as already been stated already. any type of promotion or advertising costs money

I an going to grab the opportunity to pick Nigels brain next week if I can. any one interested in finding out what he has to say then PM me.  Nigels free advice line is open every other Thursday. So it will be next thursday before I  can grab a few  minutes with him
