Can anyone recommend a good key holder ?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good key holder.  The purchase of our apartment is completed tomorrow and we thought we could just leave the keys with our solicitors untill we come out in July and organise a key holder then.  After our recent correspondance with our solicitor today we have realised that it might be advisable for us to have a key holder in place as soon as. We've been told someone needs to be around when workmen arrive to connect utilities ect.  We would obviously like this done before we come out for our first visit.

We use Rob and Joanne at Fairways, and they have been excellent. They check our appartment on a weekly basis and have also fitted a cupboard where the space for the dishwasher was. They made sure they got exactly the same materials that Polaris put in. They are set up as a proper company which I think is essential. They advertise on this site. Hope all goes well with whoever you choose.

We took the veiw that we wanted a keyholder who was trustworthy, provided a good clean service and was not too expensive. We interviewed a few people; as we felt we were handing over the keys to our apartment to stranger ( almost).

By Far the best is Paul and June Briggs  671 336 909. (uk 01246 690668) They live on site and are available anytime.

He has helped us far more than any normal key holder. I have reconmened him to others and all agree.

You would do well to give him a call.

You have opened up a can of worms here, everyone thinks thier keyholders are the best and we are no exception. Eddie and Lyn have been and done more than expected, they are known and respected on Condado. Well worth a call, you will not be dissapionted.

Craig was the first to offer to help when I needed it and lent me his ladder and electric drill when i first moved in despite him offerring those services himself.

They offer anything from a simple back up key hold service at an extremely reasonable rate (Nicki / Craig -f your reading this, that is not an invite to reassess rates!) to the full on service.

Thanks to everyone who has posted advice.  Looks like which ever one we choose we should be happy with them judging by the varied responses lol  Seriously , feel much more comfortable giving our keys to someone who has been recommended when we are unable to meet that person ourselves yet.

Hi, we have Lyn and Eddie in Garden 1 as our keyholders, they are a lovely couple and very reliable and trustworthy.  I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

I would highly recommend Phil & Lesley at Naranjosuno (http://naranjosuno.com/). My solicitor got the keys to my apartment end of March this year, I spent my first Holiday at Condado during Easter. My keyholder picked up the keys from my solicitor, and thanks to them everything went smooth, installation of A/C, water, electricity, lighting, furniture, cleaning etc.

BTW - just got back today from 3 days at Condado! Did not want to leave, but look forward to spending 4 weeks there in July/August.

Hi I too would recommend Lyn and Eddie

Helpful, friendly and totally trustworthy, they allow me to sleep peacefully knowing they are looking after my property. They go into my property at least once a week to check all is well. I pay them a very reasonable fee to clean my property after I leave, the place is spotless when I return. When I arrive, the property has been aired and the outside furniture and BBQ have been set up on the patio. All I have to do is relax and enjoy my holiday

They can both speak Spanish, one better than the other (but I'm not saying which)

Anyone looking for more than just a key holding service would be very wise to contact them

Emailed Lyn and Eddie last night re being a possible keyholder but not heard anything back as yet.  Does anyone know how quick they reply. I have to get some paperwork back to lawyers for pending completion next Wednesday and need to provide keyholder info.  Keen to not hold up the process
