First trip to Frondoso - any advice?

Hi there,

We are just about to make our first trip to Frondoso and any hints or tips would be greatfully received. This is the first time we are visiting our property (M4) and we are very nervous!

 Hi, my advice would be to organise car hire from murcia airport or alicante airport, whichever you are flying into.  Frondoso approx midway between the 2 airports.  Had a successful trip last year, property also on m4, but haven't been out yet this year as property currently being rented out to spanish lady.  Think building has currentlly 'dried up' there from what I hear, but m4 properties seem to be a good job.  Good luck, hope you enjoy the trip.

We are in our 2nd year at Frondoso (M4) and love it more every time we visit - It is slowly filling up but we love the peace and quiet - the office is open limited times now but if you have any problems they are very helpful - We are not out again until end of August but i am sure that alot of people will be out due to school holidays - so you will be able to get lots of help and info from fellow visitors.It will be very hot!!  Flys and wasps bit of a nuisance at this time of year - have not decided yet wether to invest in fly screens?

So much to do but of course always involves driving - have you got children?  We love Cartagena, Los Alcazares, Mazarron on the coast and Murcia city brilliant for shopping - we also like walking but will be abit too hot for that in August.  We have found a brilliant place at Gabas called Maraposa - which do organised walks and quad bikes etc - also good food!  It is market day at the village on Saturday morning so worth a drive down but bad parking we normally park on out skirts and walk in - restaurant opposite supermarket  (Mercodona) good - we normally shop there but Leclerc at the shopping clomplex got everything but just too big - also Decathalon and Aqui plus a macdonalds which we have not tried but great if got kids! -  Bar at bottom of hill very friendly but tapas limited however ok for quick snack - also on a night got brilliant outside area at back to chill out on comfy sofas.   I could go on for ever so if you have any questions what you want to ask just pm me as don't want to bore everybody on here....  I am sure you will have a brilliant time and looking forward to meeting up with you at some time in near future - Julie and Kevin No 10(M4)

I think I fly back on 5th September which is Monday evening but Kevin there for another week as wants to do some cycling unfortunately I haven't enough holidays left!!  You must call in for a drink and chat before i go back (ours is the house just off the mini-roundabout  as you enter M4) - looking forward to meeting you both and if you need any help or advice don't hesitate to contact us - regards for now.   Julie and Kevin -  21 days to go and counting.......

We are also going out on the 3rd and cannot wait, we have our property approx 1 year now on the M2 just up a little and across the road from the office. All our neighbours are spanish but we have met quite a few English neighbours that go out to Frondoso quite a lot, Looking forward to seeing Kevin & Julie again and who ever else will be there at the time, we are out for one week and look forward to meeting you.
