the ryan air games

Liverpool airport just last week

hilarious how when the seconds count down and the gate number comes up the stampede begins.

there is definately going to be a fight soon as the thugs will push the wrong guy or gal out of the way.

priority boarders pay an extra 6 Euros to get on first what would happen if everyone on the plane paid to be a priority boarder.

the very last person as a priority boarder does not get value for money as the first none priority boarder is right behind them.

there are little races breaking out as they are actualy getting on the plane overtaking on the tarmac

when on the plane the next game begins. Mr and Mrs Smith sit with a space between them in the hope that no one will ask them to move therefore gaining more space for them.

very amusing watching all this - must remember the plane is not overbooked and we will all get there at the same time.

it does not end until the race to receive bags at the airport or que for the rental car - what is it all about?

ah yes and the determination at trying to squeeze the flight bag into that metal frame and the strain of pulling it back out. bet the crew have a right good giggle at that one.

You are so right in your observations.

We do not fly with Ryan Air anymore. Just couldnt stand the pushing & shoving.

Though it some times works out more expensive to book with Monarch we find the whole experience more relaxing. I book our seats on line & we can then take our time to get on board.

Have to fly to Alicante now but Ham preferes it as its just motorways & we feel that the journey has taken a lot less time even though it hasnt.

I have just looked @ flights with Ryan & Monarch for some dates in September & on two dates Monarch works out cheaper. on both outward & inward flights. I thought Ryan air was supposed to  be a cheap flight airline.

Fingers crossed Monarch will be flying into the new airport too.

Thanks for the link. Unfortunatly, though great & very funny it is also very true. 

We stopped flying with Ryan Air early last year. its a sad truth when you realise after booking that the cheap flight really isnt cheap & all.

No more cattle class for us. Even though we always paid Priority

A balancing comment - Ryan Air provide a good service to Murcia from East Midlands and always work out cheaper than other airlines. Good value for money for us. It is not Ryan Air that are the problem it's the passengers behaviour. Perhaps it depends which airport you're flying from?

 I fly outta Liverpool with Ryanair all the time ............. fine for me, always bang on time, great price if you stick to the rules

Now Monarch on the other hand took my booking 2 years ago for Manchester/Murcia knowing full well they were stopping flying to Murcia and switching to Alicante ......... they duly switched and i only found out by chance when i tried to book another flight .......... they apparantly left it to 2 weeks before departure to tell other customers ........ presume to stop customers switching to another airline. Would have caused havoc with car hire for people who weren't aware.

And Jet 2 are no better either dispite being able to book your seats in advance. I need to change the passenger name on a flight for September or change the flights to another date so I rang their call centre yesterday. They want either £140 to change 1 name or £211 to move the flights to another date. I've already paid £262 for the two flights - astonishing cheek.

It's actually cheaper to not use the flights and forget my £262 and book with another carrier than change the flights!!

I'm not saying other carriers are any better but I will definately be looking elswhere than Jet 2 from now on as a matter of principle.

Incidentally - Easy Jet were for 2009 by far the cheapest for our regular trips, this year it has been Jet 2 up to now and looking at next year already Ryan Air seem to  be winning most bids. Unfortunately I have to book ahead by some distance to fit in with work commitments.
