We had a glorious time at Condado! The weather was fabulous! Enjoyed going to the last market, although hubby didn't lol! We also went down to the market at Camposol A which was really good. I don't know if that's continuing but if so it's every Thursday from 8-1pm.

We loved watching the golf from our penthouse appartment, and we clapped quite a few of them! We loved the lady playing the twelfth hole curtseying to us after her great shot, although we sympathised with her other half as his shot ricoched off his golf bag back into the bunker!

We're sorry weren't able to to go to the golf society's presentation as we had our parents with us, and it was my dad's 81st on that day; however we went to Scottees for a meal on the way back from our day out to Aguilas (well worth going to) and of course that was where they all were, so we were able to chat to a lot of new people. Thank you Peter for all your info on what's going on at Condado and for coming up to wish Dad a happy birthday which was also yours!

We found lots of different places and restaurants to go, some recommended via this forum. One being La Caverna , less than 10 minutes drive away. The meal was fantastic and worth every euro!

We also went to Barry and Gill's open morning which they hold every wednesday between 10-12; what a lovely couple! They are in Jardine 2 at the end, J0195. We got a lot of great tips from them. We hired bikes again from Jill at Condado Services, a great bargain for 7 euros each. We were out for eight hours and boy was I glad to see Condado at the end of it! We took our parents to the Guns of Mazarron, fantastic! We then ate at Antipodus at La Azohia, their menu del dia was excellent! Found a great beach at the port, ideal for kids as it's so calm and quite shallow although you can swim further out. It's called La Bahia after the hotel where it's located. I could go on and on!

This was the first time my parents had been with us, and they thought the place was lovely.

We definitely feel things are improving at both Condado and the surrounding area. I do hope that the sports bar goes ahead, and John and I wish Paul all the best in his endeavour.

Now we have to wait until next year until we can come out again, boo hoo!

p.s. Thanks Phil for sorting out our tv channels!

Lynn and John
