ITV
Hello neighbours,
This holiday we succeeded to take our car, which is 4 years old, to the ITV station in Malaga.
The address is Calle Diderot 1. It's easy to find near the airport, it's in the area Guadalhorce.
But...you first have to call number 902575757 to make an appointment, we were sent away and had to make an appointment first.
Good luck,
Kind regards,
Corrie

About the padron:
Can anybody explain how to get the 30% discount from the Townhall?
Because we went to the Townhall with our passport and Nie number and they said, when we are living most of the time in Holland we are not allowed to get the 30% discount? So we were sent away..
As far as I could understand her spanish we had to live in Fuengirola the whole year to get the discount.
So advice very welcome, thanks in advance,
Kind regards,
Corrie

Corrie,
The TH gives the discount to encourage people to register on the padron because the money they get from the regional government is based on population figures. A Nota Simpla or your title deeds are required to prove that you own a property in Fuengirola and this is the only proof required that you are resident.
You do not need to be resident for tax purposes. The regional government is aware that many coastal Town Halls have similar systems and that is why foreign citezens are now required to renew their registration with the Town Hall every 2 years.
You are best to register at the Foreign Residents office on the 4th floor of the TH. It is only open in the mornings but the staff all speak English.
I hope this helps!

Thanks very much David.
We were already at the 4rth floor thanks to Ken, but there was nobody who spoke english, so we had bad luck I think.
In that case we will try again, because the spanish lady said we had to be resident of Spain and not from Holland owning a property in Spain.
In January we will go again with a copy of the nota simple, hope we will succeed this time.
Again a lot of thanks,
Have a nice Christmas and a very happy and healthy New Year,
Corrie (and Chris)

Try to speak to Teresa in the Foreign Residents Office (4th Floor) - she speaks very good English and other European languages. I think all you rquire to sign on the Padron is your passport and a receipt for your Council Tax for the property.

About the tax:
With thanks to all help of kind neighbours we were not able to get the discount at the Townhall.
We went to the Townhall again and they said we had to be in Carvajal more than 186 days and become residents.
I guess they decided to stop this...
Kind regards,
Corrie

Hi neighbours,
We arrived in Spain and have to tell you, when you want to enter the pool of DJII you need a magnetic key.
You can collect this at the adm. of DJII, address see halway at the entrance.
Its near the market of Los Boliches, few streedts further on your right.
When you did not pay your fees of the community you cannot get one.
Hope this helps..
Kind regards,
Corrie

Hi.
I am sorry if I have intruded on this thread and that maybe I should have used another, but here goes I have had several jobs done on my apartment over the years by Gordon Trimby but I have lost his telephone number. Can someone please let me know if Gordon is still around and his Tel No if possible. Thanks Bevron.

Hi Corrie,
What has been decided for the pool in phase II this winter? I missed the last meeting. Do you know if and when it will close for the winter this year?

No idea Max, I don't go to the meeting, it's all in Spanish and takes hours, a waiste of time, because I speak a bit Spanish, but cannot follow the conversation.
We decided the Spanish owners can decide what's the best for the Community and as long as it's reasonable we don't care.
They are living at Don Juan the whole year, so we think they (just like us) want a good and healthy community.
We think the option for the magnetic key of the pool was a good idea, because now they will be forced to pay their monthly fee, although I've heard rumors they now go to Don Juan I pool, that's a pity, because they don't have to pay their fee for a swim!!

Hi neighbours,
Today we received a letter from the administration, telling us we will finally get our mailboxes like Don Juan I.
Also we will have more safety cameras, this was agreed at the meeting they write (no idea, I was not present
We could object if we do not agree, because we will have to pay 99 euros in the next 3 months (for boxes and cameras), but it will be a blessing having a mailbox and finally to receive mail from divers companies like Gestagua, Endesa etc. because now we have no idea what we are paying for....
So good news I think.
Kind regards,
Corrie
