If all went well we all got the emails or letters about the upcoming AGM on the 12th. One of the agenda points is taking legal actions against offenders. It very strange not to mention against action will be taken at our epsense.
Anyway I´m pretty sure we will be on this list. Since the last AGM we have tried to discuss over and over with the committee that we like to oblige by all the rules in Don Juan, but there is one thing nobody wants and that is signs For Rent and For Sale all over the place as it will diminish the value of our properties and just looks very bad.
So have said no the request of the threats of the committee and continued to explain that we have two small and not shouting sides on our own balcony about wetakecare rental en sales service. Most people people find them unobtrusive, they are fixed to our own balcony and all the visitor to Don Juan call the number if they have a problem, so it functions as a sort of first aid to everybody in trouble.
We have kept on telling the committee that if we have to remove these ´commercial signs´ all the owners who want to let out or sell and who are our clients will take signs on their own property which is allowed. It´s very ugly and a bad sign if you see a beautiful urbanization full of sales and rental signs but the committee never answered on our arguments. They only send us threats to remove them themselves which is not allowed by law, that they would go to court for it (a waste of money), etc.
We didn´t expect that none of the committtee once took the trouble to answer one of our letters. They are elected to protect and communicate with the neighbours but they don´t do that. We got a ´burofax´, an official warning for which you have to sign from our own neighbour the president We found that very silly and a waste of money.
We also got a complaint that we had one bag of garbage next to our door out of sight on it´s way to the trays outside. I collapsed, hit the ground and was rushed to intensive care by people from the ambulance. We passed along the presidents garden who was there and saw me on the stretcher and Saskia crying behind. The next morning we got an official complaint about garbage not being allowed to stand there. Saskia was sitting close to me the whole night watching the doctors struggle to save my life.
We are aware that these things are all done because of private motives within the comittee, just as our former cleaner was fired because of a friendship with the president which turned sour.
I don´t believe in this kind of personal revenge things and I don´t think comittees should act on their personal motives, but it happens. Some people always get complaints if they change something while people who give their proxy vote to the comittee don´t get these letters while they are doing exactly the same.
We know this of course because we have so many clients and know almost everyone in the development personally. So if you give your vote as usual to the comittee they will go to court at our expense against us. We will remove the signs when we get the writing and put them on all the apartments and all that happened is that the community lost money and lost the beautiful image.
It´s your choice as you are the boss. The neighbours together tell the committee what to do, not the other way around. We will just wait and see what happens. We lost interest in the committee a long time ago as we know usually much better what is wrong and even put up notices ourselves to warn against swimming conditions and people gettng hurt in the pools due to lack of maintenance. We drive them to the hospital so we know.
