Hi as we are near approaching the AGM i am going to put my name forward for the v/presidents role or a committee job.
I will first work within the Spanish law at all time.I would like to take on the role of insuring the pool areas are always safe and clean and well kept and safe for swimming.I would like to deal with all complaints at Don Juan.
I will answer all urgent e/mails in 24 hrs none urgent in 48hrs.I would also like peoples views and input on how they would like there community to be run.

yo trabajo como una Enfermera de la comunidad en el Reino Unido y tengo durante 30 años.
Ahora nosotros nos acercamos el AGM yo propondré mi nombre para los V/Presidentes o un miembro del
comité. Trabajaré dentro de la ley española siempre, y el trabajo para asegurar dentro de los comités remite
que el siguiente uno ellos son llevados a cabo.
1. Comunicación - asegura por revelación mejorada e informe TODA la comunidad en un horario regular.
2. Yo querría ver respuestas a preguntas/quejas en la comunidad contestado a dentro de un horario
concordado.
3 .Financie - asegura que las figuras del presupuesto y el gasto están disponibles y dadas a la comunidad.
4. UN informe trimestral /revisión del servicio, incluyendo mantenimiento, las piscinas, los jardines,
proyectos ( el ejemplo-Cajas de Poste)
5. Yo desearía vistas de vecinos, y de las ideas para la comunidad.

My name is Irene , I reside in Block 8 apt bajo d
I work as a District Nurse in the United Kingdom and have for 30 years
Now we approach the AGM I will propose my name for the V/PRESIDENTS or a member of the committee. I will work inside the Spanish law always, and work to ensure inside the committees remits that the following are carried out.
1 Communication - ensure through improved disclosure and inform ALL the community
on a regular Schedule
2. I would want to see answers to queries / complaints in the community replied to within
an agreed timetable.
3. Finance - ensure that the budget and expense figures are available and given to the community.
4. A quarterly report /review of service, including maintenance, pools, gardens, projects (For example - Post Boxes )
5. I would desire views of neighbours, and ideas for the community.

We tried to streamline the AGM as much as possible but it still took 5 hours! To avoid delay while each vote was counted all votes were recorded on a single sheet and handed in at the end of the meeting. Irma took the votes away after the meeting and has to verify and count them. When I know the results I will write a report on the meeting.

The new president is Ana Labrador; she was the only candidate.
The vice president is David Munster
Pepe (our former president) and Javier (the hardworking member for over two years) both resigned,.
I know who are the Vocals (members) but there is a slight chance that there could be some irregularity here so votes have to be counted and depending on that a decision has to be made. So I will leave that to David.
The outcome of the meeting will almost certainly be decided by a huge number of people who gave proxies who don´t know what was discussed and presented at the meeting. It hardly makes hardly sense to explain these discussions on the web as the people attending already know and the rest trusted mostly community members to vote for them.That makes me quite sure about the outcome of the rest of the meeting. Without discussing it people also approved the 2010 budget. Rest assured there won´t be an increase in community costs.

I think that it is very good news to have a president thats fluent English speaking/writing, Spanish national and also fulltime resident at Don Juan. Most other communities with large English/non Spanish speaking groups would love to have this combination for their President.
I wish Ana all the best for her now role and I hope that in 2010 we can all group together at DJ to help make our community strong and successful.

Hi,
By now you probably all received the minutes of the last AGM. There is one thing I want to comment publically on and that is the point where it states that I often claimed things were against the community law in Spain but never started a court case.
It´s not my intention and has never been to start court cases against our own development. I say these things to make everybody aware that as a community we are liable to possible court cases and we should think twice before we start them ourselves as I want to avoid the unnecessary costs of doing so and losing them.
I say so to protect the community, not for my own interests or intentions.
There is a lot more to say about the AGM and the community but I fully agree with an earlier statement by David that it is detrimental to discuss these things on a public forum. I maintain my own mailing list as some of you already know and you´re welcome to subscribe to it by sending me a PM. It will be closed, meaning that only real owners who´s identity I will check are added to the list. The mailings consists of general views on the community, real estate prices in Don Juan, rental income, problems found in apartments which could be of general interest and my experience as a full time resident and property manager of this lovely community.
The new committee is made aware of the existence of this list and is of course also free to subscribe and when relevant react, reflect on or add to it. It´s no more than an addition to David´s existing list but with a broader focus than only committee affairs.
Just send me an PM if you want to subscribe stating your name, apt. number etc and provide me some details. i will check it against my existing records and make sure no other people than real owners slip through.
Although I feel connected to phase II and have clients there as well unfortunately I can´t allow owners there to the list for reasons you will understand.
