Hi Corrie
Go to Gestaqua and Endesa with your passport, and any document with your address on it, preferably something from the utility company and tell them you have never had a bill, and they will print off all of your previous bills. Get to Endesa early. They are a nightmare. Take a ticket and come back as it can take 4 -5 hours to get seen depending how busy they are. I have never experienced a worse company anywhere in the world. People just walk in off the street, walk straight up to the desk and the idiots behind the desk start helping them out instead of making them join the queue. When I was there a woman of 82 from England was left sitting there for 4 hours, her husband had just died and she was worried about the electric being cut off as the bill was in her name. I nearly had a number of fights trying to stop these idiots jumping the queue in front of her. Thank God I don't have to go to that place too often.
Good luck. You might need it.

Hi Pierce,
Hope you and your family are well, our best wishes for 2013 for all of you...
Thanks very much for your kind advice, but when I get the bills in the future it will be fine for us.
Don't like waiting in our holidays, so I 'm not really interested going to Endesa, but you never know....
We could be forced to go in the near future, because they are not used anymore sending us bills, so....
Thanks again,
c.u. and give our regards to Marie and Ciaran

Your problem with you not receiving any bills for the utilities may not
have anything to do with the companies not sending the bills. It is
more likely caused by the fact there is no place to deliver to.
This problem most likely will go away when you have your mail boxes
installed.
Therefore visiting the utility companies is probably not going to make any
difference.

We received a new bill from the townhall and a request to go the the 3rd floor of the TH.
We got the same bill officially, as far as I can understand it is a kind of environment tax?
No idea but I guess this bill will show up every year.
It's called: Gestion Medio Ambiental de Residuos
I did not yet receive the IBI, so it could also be about the garbage, so no new tax but separate?
Regards,
Corrie
p.s. can anybody tell me when DJII will have mailboxes? Because I think it;s time to receive mail??

Before 10/6
No idea how strict the TH is about the date...
It's 56 euros I guess, there is also an amount of 24 for plazo 2, no idea what that means.

Corrie

Hello,
We have a semi-sótanos-appartment in Block 2. Does anybody know if we are allowed to install a pergola? In that case, how should it be designed in order to comply with the rules of the Community?
Best regards,
Jesper and Maria

About the payment to the Townhall.
We came home and concluded, that plazo 2 means, if you are no resident you have to pay the full amount.
Now we have only paid 70% of the costs, while I asked the cashier did we pay everything now for this year, he said yes, you don't have to return this year.
At home we saw we had to pay the other 30% as well, we decided not to return and wait another hour.
It's stupid they don't ask if we are resident or not, because now we've paid 30% less.
We'll see what happens next year, but for this year it's fine I guess.
Nice weekend,
Corrie
p.s. about a pergola I have no idea..

Just to clarify - I believe that plazo 2 refers to 2nd instalment. The Town Hall sent out a leaflet explaining that the old method of applying a 30% discount to their bills for all those who are registered on the Padron is no longer valid due to a legal challenge from the PSOE political party.
So the Town Hall advises that the payments from now on will be collected in 2 instalments - 70% for the first instalment and 30% in December for the second instalment. My understanding is that the second instalment of 30% will not in fact be payable for all who are registered correctly on the Padron, have their bills with the Town Hall up to date etc etc.
I hope this clarifies matters.

I think you are right, but we cannot register in the padron.
We went 3 times to the 4th floor of the TH and all times they told us we had to stay more than half a year in Spain to register, so we decided to stop trying and pay for the non resident tax.
They said you can only be registered in one country, if you are registered in Holland, this is impossible in Spain.
So the people of DJ who succeeded is fine for them, but I could not be written in the padron.
Thanks for your reply!
Regards,
Corrie

Neighbours of DJII block 4 and 5,
Could you tell me your official address please?
Because ours is calle Montes de Malaga, only now we got a letter from the administration our mail will be delivered at Calle Sierra Cazorle 1, so I think we will have to go to the Townhall and Tributaria to change the street. At the tributaria we were living in Benalmadena, so last year we told them it's Fuengirola and they changed it. I think they will have to change this again, because when we are officially living in a different calle we still will not receive any mail.
Please inform me your official street? thx,
Corrie

We went to the Townhall, now our address is Calle Sierra de Cazorla, I think we will have to go to the Tributaria as well to change our address. Because I really prefer having mail from all agencies we pay.
The Townhall was not very interested, because the man at the reception said, when your garage is in the calle Montes de Malaga its also fine. But I said I cannot receive mail in that street, so I really want to change is.
This was no problem, I suppose they will change all addresses of building 4 and 5 through the "Correos".
