patio door locks.

Hi all...just a note to see if others have raised this at all or share my concerns.....it is easy to get yourself locked out on your terrace as there is no way of opening from the outside...is everyones like this ??Seems to me the locks are more suited to widows than doors.........this was in my snagging but nothing has been done about it....

We bought a couple of Clippasafe safety door locks (you can find them on Amazon). You have to remember to put them on each time, but probably better than nothing. I was thinking of a more clever DIY solution whereby something drops into place from above the door when it's opened which then wedges the door open, but requires more thought!

How right you are, everytime we go on the terrace we worry about sliding the door too far and trapping ourselves the wrong side,. Which when you are three floors up from the pool, no way down, let alone any front door keys is a real concern, I've even started to think about replacing the patio doors with something that has a handle that doesn't lock automatically when you shut it.

If anybody has any other ideas we'll certainly be interested, it's either that or trying to throw ourselves into the pool!

Also regarding the locks in general, has anybody changed them to something more robust, or an I just getting paranoid
