Swimming Pool Announcement

Hi All

I was on a mailing list of people who received notification from Romanber today that the inaugural opening of the pool will be on 11 July. Attached was a photo of the cleaned up pool filled with water (not green any more).

Will be great to hear from anyone there now, or from 11 July, who can confirm that they have actually used the pool.

And just in time for our visit next week, we'll update what we find, when we return. Bet it'll be cold though

Also can anybody give us an idea of where to go for terrace furniture? Providing we can fit it in with our tapas crawl following all your suggestions that is!

It's a bit of a way, but if you go to Bricor in Jerez (on the Luz Shopping park with Ikea) they have stuff like that. It's like a massive B&Q.

Re terrace furniture - we had a look at Jysk opposite Bricor close to Ikea in Jerez. They had a small but very well priced selection. Also Leroy Merlin had more but we thought more expensive. Carrefour (North) in Jerez had a good selection, also not badly priced.

I have not been to the Bricor so don't know what they offer. An option would be the local Carrefour but they might be a bit limited. I aslo found that at times there can be a bit of a price difference between the Carrefours in Arcos and Jerez.The Carrefour in Jerez has much more to offer. It all depends what you are looking for. If you drive straight into Jerez take a right at the roundabout with the huge motorbike statue, you can't miss it. Go on to the next roundabout, take a left and go on straight. You will see Carrefour on the other side of the road after  some 100 m. The next roundabout will get you on to the right side. 

Worth checking out ikea too as they have a range of out door furniture etc.ikea seemed better value to me...Bricor is expensive but they do have a lot of choice.......the shop is enormous.......john.

So today's apparently the inaugration day. Can anyone confirm that they have been in the pool?

We are reliably informed that a water tanker arrived today and filled the pool

Hopefully it will be OK to swim in the pool very soon
