La Manga Resort

I'm always on the lookout for places of interest in the region and often drive down to the strip at La Manga (for a nice glass of Sangria in Area Sunset overlooking the Mar Menor).

I have never ventured into the La Manga Resort as I have always been unsure as to whether access would be permitted for "non-residents".  The resort itself has plenty of restaurants and bars which I wouldn't mind investigating.

Has anyone ever visited the La Manga Resort for a bite to eat or day visit?  Is access to the general public permitted?

Yes - La Manga Club is lovely and you simply drive to the security gate and they let you in.  I go there regularly and have never been asked for any id or whatever.  Even if I was I would simply say I was going in for a meal or to check out the hotel for a function venue.  Arlene.

 Hi we stayed there for a week a few years ago in a timeshare, at the time the place was buzzing with Lady Tennis Players on some coaching trip, often top football teams areithere for trainong. there are many bars and restaurants there and its a greaty place to stay or holiday but I would not drive all that way just for a meal. They use car recognition for security so they know all who enter.

I used to stay at La Manga Club all the time, the Indian Restaurant "India" is amazing, food out of this world!

The restaurant is right at the top of the hill, located above the Spa, there is a balcony which you can sit out on and it has full views of the La Manga strip. It my fave restaurant in the region.

I also like the small Tapas restaurant at La Manga Club called the Bodega. 

Finally try the signature restaurant in the Hotel, I think its called "Ampola", really nice food, with views over one of the wonderful golf courses.

While you are at La Manga Club, I would recommend calling into the hotel after and having a cocktail, its amazing and there is a chance you could see someone famous! The Casino in the hotel has been shut now for about 7 years, which is a shame, but there is still lots to do at La Manga Club.

Its well worth the drive, the resort is stunning, you wont be disapointed.

Nothing there we havent got at CDA then Daz!!
