Firstly, Weather was great and the resort felt busier than previous years at this time of year.
Restaurants:
La Isla closed and looks like shut up shop
Chinese re opened part way through our visit
M. Cojeti under new management - (from late 2011) and food is excellent
Other:
Market on the beach plaza Sunday's popular and has meant a few of the shops down there such as bakery and butchers have opened early in the year (Sundays).
They have started spraying for mossie's in the village and were undertaking a cat spraying exercise to control levels of wild cats in the village.
Word of caution: The generator's current position (post fire) is opposite the central garden area's on Calle Hispasat and for those houses at the bottom of this road or near the central area the generator it is very noisy - fingers crossed it won't be too long before we get mains, however for those with houses for rental in this part you may want to look into the noise levels further as I could imagine some clients would find it too much (although expect you get use to the noise). On the positive the generator was working well and did not cut out that much.
There is a new roundaout near the church at the Calypso end of San Juan and the new development being built in San Juan at this end (between pozo and SAN jUAN front line) are looking good - they are creating a sandy beach area with some woodern piers and the gardens and plaza area is fantastic.
Left feeling it will be too long before we visit again love it! - 4 weeks and counting!
