Mileniun have my vote. Since they were appointed to manage the resort they have done a terrific job. The weekly report is great for those of us who are not residents. The office staff are always helpful and polite. I've never heard of this guy Phil Tann and I don't want him making decisions on my behalf. Sounds to me like he's making himself too busy. I've not heard about any problems with Mileniun and if there were I would expect to learn about it from the President of Jardines 2 where I have my apartment.

You should have heard of Phil Tann as he's the main president- he posts occasionally on this forum. The role of the presidents is to make decisions without asking opinions for every little thing, thats why we have them it'd be impossible to run a resort of any size if everyone had to be canvassed everytime a decision was needed.
I do not see how anyone of us who do not live on the resort can understand whats going on- what happens behind the scenes. Do not look at CdA through rose tinted glasses just because we have a few more shops open and a fiesta every now and again. Those shops/bars are opening because the banks have lowered the rental and new owners dont pay any rent for the 1st six months. This has very little to do with ML and whether they are open this time next year, when paying their rental kicks in, might mean we all have a different opinion on how well the resort is progressing. The debacle over the water resevoir was cleary evidence that all is not well and decisions were being made without the community being consulted at all- that cannot be right. Some of the good stuff at the moment is probably papering over the cracks of the debts the resort carrying and giving people a false impression of how good everything is.
My understanding is that Mr Tann does all the Presidents work as a volunteer, he does not speak Spanish fluently and therefore meetings and so on may well take a direction he doesn't like or quite understand and this will be frustrating if he is a lone voice and I imagine little help is offered in translation. No doubt the various Spanish presidents want to force decisions that Mr Tann doesnt always agree with or believe are good for the resort. There will always be a problem when two or more cultures come together and I think people are veing very niave if they think its all running like clockwork.
Many comments on the other thread seem to suggest people think everything is happy happy- I would suggest its not, more likely every decision is a battle ground. I have no idea who is right or wrong in this situation and whether we need a new team in place but please don't be thinking running a resort of this size is plain sailing .

Mileniun have my vote....
I agree too - we have had no problems with them and the resort has definitely improved since they took over.

Problem is more that we non residents don't know any of the Presidents- can't contact them. Ml dont seem to pass on emails. If you read the minutes of the AGM's you'd know the names of the Presidents- without doing that you can't say you know very much about what happens on the resort. If you haven't been able to find them then that means you haven't been interested when these dfetails were posted- Were you just happy to leave the running of the resort to others?
If you read EOS generally you'll see many resorts and urbanisations have huge problems with their management company and I'd agree we don't appear to- other than the water issue earlier this year. They appear better than the company we were left with by Polaris but I really dont think people understand what goes on behind the scenes. Brits probably thik its all run as a british company would be and that I doubt. Likewise I dont know if PTann has exceeded his authority. Ml haven't been part of much of the improvemnents in the alst 12 months, developig Al Kasar is because Banks lower rental the Golf Company have created the new club house not ML. They manage the support network of security and gardeners and refuse collectors and deal with day to day problems- they are paid alot out of our community fees.
I genuinely think people are being niave in saying ' my votes is for ML', or 'PTann' without more information. The weekly bulliten was useful but what was it telling us- the grass was being cut in N9 or whatever- nothing really about manouverings regarding paying debts, resolving any issues All smoke and mirrors methinks. Have any owners been brought to task for making additions to their properties that are against community rules- no, so are Ml doing their job?
There are probably personalities issues going on here and the fact its all become public demonstrates how bad the situation really is..

Surely credit, where credit is due? They've made massive in roads in collecting some of the outstanding community fees. I speak as I find. When I've reported cracked tiles and broken lights, they've told me when they will be repaired, if it hasn't been immediately. With all companies there are always weak links that could be improved upon. Yes I agree that owners should be challenged about not following the rules when making property enhancements/amendments, now correct me if im wrong, but they did start a while ago, when some owners were forced to change their under stair cupboards. It is clear that this has became personal and think that ML will lose some respect for circulating some unnecessary comments. However I think that it's unfair to assume that ppl will base their decision on one document solely, after all most ppl will have already read the statement posted by PT's wife; when it started to become personal. I have nothing personal against PT, I don't know him so can't judge. I imagine he's furious waking up this morning and will be preparing he's response or resignation; after all he does do this voluntarily and could probably do without the stress. There is clearly a conflict of interest as he needs to earn income from the resort, albeit this should be declared. ML should have approached this more professionally, even in the form of an email without the copied text messages etc. I'm sure a lot of this could have been discussed in a meeting, although I doubt that it will ever work now.

As we have already highlighted many of the issues some three months ago I think it's time for PT to step back before he is sacked! What the resort needs is a kind of paid manager position to take care of the day to day business who speaks spanish and knows the way to do business in Spain. This person is than contracted and paid by the comunity , so no need anymore to promise jobs to friends of level 1 as we heard in the pub the other day, seems the outer ring wall paint is already promised to somebody without tender..., let's see. Hi Quiet Man
You have raised some very good issues & I am glad I chose to read this thread too.
I have already stated that ML would get my vote & I would be wrong to change my mind in such a short while but you have rattled my cage now & have made me realise that I would have to look at all things related to Condado in greater detail & if it came to a serious vote I would need to re think my decision before saying yay or nay to either.

It does appear to me that Mileniun are doing a great job, but it does disappoint me that they have chosen to send this newsletter out when Phil is away on holiday and therefore unable to respond to their allegations. I have met Phil when we've been out and he seems to be a very nice guy, and what we must remember is that all presidents are volunteers, and as far as I am aware do it for free. It seems to me to be a very thankless task. Neither myself or hubby will be saying yay or nay until we have seen his response. Also, they report that he has banned them from sending weekly reports, but we only had one last week, so not sure what they mean by that. I do agree that Lesley's tirade certainly added fuel to the fire, but we don't know what prompted that. I look forward to reading Phil's response.
